As above Sanogo, Lukaku and Traore are all good choices, already good players, well priced and still have potential to fulfill.

Also consider Ishak Belfodil, Kevin Gameiro.

Seydou Doumbia is good but more expensive. Stefan Kiessling (ss = dodgy german B ) is amazing but may cost £20mil +

My first choice overall though would be Tomas Necid! Stefan Kiessling 2nd.
babacar is a monster !

You don't need another striker mate!!!!

I've also started a new game, with Liverpool, but I haven't signed any player, yet, I'll wait until January. The team is playing really well so far, and I'm playing with only one striker (of course)..

Try this:

-------------------Carrol-------------------
---Suarez----------------------------Kuyt--- -> (both "run from deep")
----------Meireles---------Steven-----------
--------------------Lucas-------------------

make Carrol your target man (supply him to head)
Suarez must have the ball in his foot to get the best outta him, when he attacks from deep he's a real monster! let him "cut inside" and Kuyt "move into channels" and you'll see the difference ;)
It has to be Babacar. He is amazing even when he is really young. I have him on my Tottenham game, bought him first season for about 13 mill I think. Scoring nearly a goal a game now

how do you tell them to "cut inside" and "move into channels" ??
I use the oldskool tactical adjustment... like in the FM 07 and 08, noumsayin, you can put arrows for the directions you want your players to run in (running from deep), and you have more options in setting the individual instructions... even tho it's also possible in the FM11, but I like it the old way :) that's how you can control the movement (cut inside, move into channels, hug touchline, usual), passing style (long, direct, default, short, very short), etc. of each player a lil better then in the costum FM11 tactics..

I have recommended it a million times now and I'll do it again: download this http://www.fmscout.com/i-1192-Dutch-Project-Total-Football-FM2011.html and if you have a good sense for tactical details, by using it you'll be the man soon :D

the FM11 tactics are more for people who don't like to spend much time with tactics...., you can set the role for each player and that's it...
(for example: a striker can be a poacher, target man, complete st., advanced forward, etc.; but with this adjustment a striker plays always the way the situation requires, not just one single role)
I like it the old way, I like to set every single detail that can be set ;)
i'm still for alberto paloschi.
the way he has developed and is playing for me is just insane.
i've been in awe of neymar in my chelsea-save, but paloschi puts neymar to shame.

Doumbia is a good buy. If you play him right, he scores nearly a goal a game. I play him as a complete forward striker.
You should give a try to Nikita Rukavytsya, very cheap and excellent scorer.
Chris Gadi, plays for Marseille at the start of any game but I have him loaned to my club in my Etienne game atm from Man City. Young player and seems to be a goal machine for me at the moment, unstoppable in Europe. He seems to like the big games to step up from an already good performance normally :)
Kevin Gameiro and Christian Benitez. Both of them are beasts once they get used to the league
Seydou Doumbia is amazing , only 10 mil from CSKA
Yaya Sanogo! Got him for 3-4 million pounds and after one season inChelsea he went up to over 30. 45 goals in his first season :)

what role do you play him? also, lone striker or two?

cheers mate
