I am playing Manchester City....and after several seasons have won most things...but several of my players are getting sent off and other players are threatening to leave because of lack of discipline in the club. Some of the players complaining are those getting sent off themselves. Normally I issue a warning for the first offence....then 1 weeks fine for the second etc., but private chats dont have things like... dont make reckless tackles...control your own behaviour. Some of the offending players have a high aggression quality...but then when you order them to stand off...they loose their effect. Any ideas´...?
Always always fine 2 weeks wages for a straight red. Always issue a warning for 2nd yellow red.
get coaches with high discipline attribute to get the complaning to stop

And I thought I was strict! :D

If it's the player's first offense of the season I'll issue a warning regardless of whether it was a straight red card or two yellows that sent them off. If someone gets sent off again, they get fined one weeks wages.

I think another key aspect of squad discipline is how you handle talks when players complain about wages, new contracts, etc. I NEVER give in to these demands whether it comes from the agent or the player. I'm guessing my respect level has gotten quite high because agent/player complaints rarely get past the first dialogue where I tell them that I'm the boss.
There is discipline training under preferred move training in private chats.

Maybe that will help
