Just past the MID-WAY stage of the 2016/17 season, and madrid are lying 15th, jus 5 points away from relegaion and already 30 poins away from us and barca at the top (I manage Ponferradina). In he firs 3 seasons, madrid won he league wih aleast 95 points for 3 years, then in 2015/16, i got my 3rd div league team to just win the title and madrid came fourth. I offered Mourinho my support in press conference, but he was sacked, a year later, they have just hired Vicenzo Iaquinta as manager and hes doin ok but they're still fifteen.
Also, las season, Barca came 7th and Messi didnt sign a new contract, i approached to sign him but didnt have a large enought wage budget, i then adjusted my budget so i did, but he doenst want to enter negotiations anymore . . . GUTTTEDDD !!!!!

I think in FM2010 when I downloaded year 2050 or somthing like that and Chelsea was in League 1 but also in my Nieciecza save in season 2011/2012 Wisla Cracow were in Polish Second Division when they are one of best Polish teams. Also once in the same save I saw AC Milan in Serie B in season 2019/2020.

always seems to happen to the teams with ageing squads. chelsea+man utd always seem to suffer in that 2nd and 3rd seasons in my games because the AI doesn't seem to realise that stats of the older players are going to plummet, so delay buying replacements until its too late.
that seems to be true because in my games Arsenal are always at the top with Man City while Man United drop with Chelsea awsell
in my second season of managing arsenal both manchester united, manchester city, chelsea and barcelona got relgated. both manchester united and manchester city got promoted straight away, barcelona took 2 season to get promoted back into la liga, chelsea though got back to back relegations and ended up in the npower championship ligue 1. interestingly though fulham became the richest club in the world.

The same happens all the time with me. Man Utd and Chelsea use to struggle after a couple of seasons while Arsenal and Man City get the premiership title almost every year. In my current save file, Palermo is probably the best team in the world, captained by Pastore. Barça and Real Madrid curiously don't achieve the performance they show in real life, in fact, the strongest Spanish team in the domestic title has been Atletico Madrid. One more thing is that many great players on above average teams tend to stay a lot more time it should be expected.
