can someone please give me specific examples of opposition instruction that have worked for them, please do not give me a thousand different pros and cons because i have read them all before and the flaws and contractions give me a head ache, please just give ones that work for you and when you use them. thank you!
Get an assistant manager who has a high attribute in tactical knowledge (15+) and have him set the opposition instructions, this is what has worked better than anything for me.
If you want an understanding of what instructions are best then get an assistant who has 19/20 in tactical knowledge, have him set instructions for every game and examine the instructions that he makes and learn, I firmly believe that this is the best way to find out what works best.
thanks for the advice mate but i have tried this, at everton i have steve round who not only has sound tactical knowledge he has good reading of player ability which i also believe to be important for this, however the advice he gives is always the same and is just plain shit, read any forum or guide on this issue and they all say to hard tackle players with low bravery and composure, however roundy wants to pick a fight with the whole team, he wants to hard tackle the left but not close him down!! not possible. im starting to believe this game is just flawed, in 2010 i won every league i was in but now its impossible to win consistantly and you have situations where you beat a poor team at home but they have more possesion and shots on goal, its frustrating as hell
I recommend hard tackling everyone forward of the defense and sometimes even fullbacks. Opposition instructions may not be what is letting you down, I've found this FM the easiest yet but I haven't once set opposition instructions myself. I consider the team talks to be crucially important and if you can only motivate 10 of the players on the pitch then the 11th is gonna hugely effect the whole team. Remember that tinkering with tactics too much could actually be detrimental as the players need some consistency from you.
mark and pressure the full backs hard and heavy on the central defenders press all central mid if they have a DMC kick on is kness mark the wingers kick them hard dont press them the same for strickes dont press kick hard on them and mark in the way that your central defernder looks like a sticker on his back!!!
