I love FM2011, but one thing about the game bugs the hell out of me and its the awarding of player and goal of the month awards.
Now i understand goal of the month is more an opinion thing and probably more difficult for the game to gauge but the player of the month awards are often in my opinion heavily misplaced.
I currently have a save game as Altrincham in the BSP where in the last 2 months a 20 year old striker of mine has been on fire to the sound of 17 goals in 10 games at a rating of 8.47. In the last 5 games he scored 9 goals at 8.54 yet he didn't make the top 3 for the award for player or young player of the month. The guy that won the player award got a 7.68 over 5 games an no goals.
It was the same the month before, he fired 10 goals in 5 games and came third despite having a much higher goal and average rating tally.
I've seen stuff like this before in numerous saves but never so blatantly wrong.
Now before you say anything this kid has barely kicked a ball in his career before going on this run, he made his first start of the season and scored a hat-trick and never looked back, his goals have come home and away and he has scored doubles against Fleetwood and AFC Wimbledon and a hat-trick against Cambridge all of whom are top teams in the league (in my save at least).
On top of that in his last 7 league appearances he has gotten over a 9 rating 4 times.....what gives!!
