Help! New Club, No FA Cup

Can someone please help?
I Created a new club, chairman, stadium, etc...I put this new club into the Blue Square North.

Everything was working find until i found out i cant play in the FA cup! I thought this was maybe just the 1st season so finished that and started second season but same thing...No FA Cup!

I dont know if this is just a problem with the FA Cup or is it with the League Cup or even Europe but it'll take me a few seasons to find this out! Although i can play in the FA Trophy but thats not as appealing as the FA Cup!

Have i done something wrong or not done something i should have done?

I think you should have registered your team in the FA cup in the data editor when you made your team. It is usually a better choice to take an already existing team and change the name / location / etc.

Your problem is that a club must be founded more than 3years of this currant year.
Save bet set your founded club date roughly 3-4 years before 2010-2011 and your take part in Fa cup.
