I was wondering if there was an exact date or rough time period that anyone knows off the top of their head, when do you get given your transfer budget for the season, I'm waiting to make my signings and don't want any of them to get snapped up.

It's on the first day of each season (25th of July June for England) or the first day of the game, you'll have different options depending on your ambitions unless the boards minimum requirement is to win the league. You can check your transfer budget on the finances and the boardroom screen.

I was just wondering when I could get some more players in I had a small squad and had spent last seasons cash and needed my budget to come through. Knowing the date helped, thank you.
also, if you want to sign free agents, make sure not to press continue after you get you're budget. bid first, then press continue...some other team might bid in the first day and if the offer is good, the player might accept the offer in the same day...and you will be stuck in "continue"

I got my transfer funds shown on the 25th of June thats when the board wanted me to select my ambitions for next season

Yes mate your right, I put the wrong month. New transfer budget is on 25th of June.
