Players do not want to play for me

My Assistant Manager keeps telling me my players find it hard to motivate themselves when playing for me. Any ideas,

your reputation is low, your discussions with them didn't end up well.

Erm.. Try out using different team talks and different answers at press conferences? Might help, not sure.

Guessing its your first season and your rep is far lower than your clubs/players, it happens if you take control of Prem/Champ team with a "Sunday league" experience for example. All you can really do is wait until you prove that your good enough, might take a season or two. You could sell the problem players if its only one or two.
