Realistic Summer Transfer Update

As we all know, summer transfer updates have been recently released everywhere. Generally, they are all accurate except for one crucial thing, the game will still start on 2010. And although all of the players are in the right place, it is supposedly for the 2011/12 season, so it takes off the realism.

So I messed with the database, and now, I'm working on a "close to realism" update. But it's a lot of work, so I decided to edit clubs from England first. Here are my issues on the updates out there and the solutions I'm still working on:

Issue 1: Although the players are in their correct clubs in the update, these transfers occurred in the summer transfer window on 2011 and the game starts on 2010.
Solution: Make the transfers happen on the date it happened in real life. Basically, all of it happened on the summer transfer window of 2011. So I set all of it to happen in that period.

Issue 2: Even if the transfers will happen on the realistic date, the game will start on 2010 and you still have to play one season (2010/11) before anything happens.
Solution: I made a Nation Rule for a non-relevant country, The Philippines, and set its season start on May 30 so that you will have an option to start on May 2010 or May 2011. Obviously, you should pick Philippines (May 2011) as the time to start. Most of the major leagues are finished by that time so inaccuracies will be minimized. P.S. The only other effect it will do is produce regens from the said country, and basically these regens won't have any impact in the game.

Issue 3: If you start on May 2011, FM will simulate the whole 2010/11 season and will cause a very big inaccuracy and would not be realistic.
Solution: Here's the hard part, and I'm still working on it. I will add info in the Club History section and put final league positions of every English clubs specifically the Won/Draw/Lost/GF/GA/Points for the 2010/11 season. So West Ham, Blackpool, and Birmingham will still be in the Premier League and Norwich, Swansea, and QPR will still be in the Championship. But hopefully, because of the info I'm planning to add, the teams will be relegated/promoted in the season update of England (June 25) because of their positions in their respective tables.

As of now, there's still a lot of work to do. I'm doing this because I want to play with realism, and I'm just sharing my concept here in FMScout. If anyone has comments or suggestions, don't hesitate to share it. And if I finish this on time (on time meaning a long way to go before FM 12), if anyone wants to try, I will be happy to share it.

I haven't tested any of the summer data updates, but aren't you able to choose for example July 2011 as starting date of your new savegame?

You can only choose to start in 2010.

Wally's update is fantastic besides the date issue.
Well,it would be great to have the correct dates, but i don't think it worths so much effort! we can still enjoy Aguero at City even if its 2011 :D

If you have the patience to try correcting the dates tho, you are wellcome! :P
Dude, you're awesome. If you do this, I'll love you forever (for what it's worth) :P
