Hi!

Could someone clarify a technical detail about the game's programming for me?
For example, I didn't select the Argentina database, but the player Alex Verón from Vélez still appears in the database generated for the save, while the player Ian Subiabre from River Plate doesn't appear, even though he has greater potential.

The question is, what makes the player appear in the game, even without selecting their country?

Tks!
Hello!

I have no idea how the game's programming works, but from all the years I play FM I would say it has to do with the reputation of the players or the club they are in.

For example in the case you mentioned it can be because since Alex Verón is younger he can have a higher range in potential that Ian Subiabre, that is a little more established as a player. The other reason could be the one team being in the copa libertadores and the other ins't (but from my search both teams are).

So to answer your question, in my understanding, it would be the players reputation, top clubs, and potential hability.

PS: fun fact, Alex Verón is in my Aston Villa save!
