How long do you find it takes for the top top regens to start coming through? And what countries do you find they come from mainly???
This is TOTALLY random, sometimes you can get some super players in the first season, sometimes in the third, and so on.

It indeed seems to be completely random. However, in the future, people will have upgraded their youth recruitment and youth facilities, so you might see a slight increase in good regens.
Using Genie Scout I have noted that the amount of 'amazing regens' (190+ PA) varies a lot, but you will usually get at least one regen with 190+ PA each season and more than 3 190+ PA regens a season is very rare.
sometimes i got 5-6 190+PA regens in one season, sometimes none...it's totaly random and about the upgrade of the youth recruitment...i have managed man utd many times and i NEVER got a wonderkid, 175-180 PA at most...and i play FM since 05 so it's random
I know, but on average it seems to be about 1-3 190+ regens each season.
Furthermore, with the youth facilities and recruitment upgrade, I mean that as the game advances, many teams will upgrade their facilities, so on average there will be a bit more 'amazing regens' than at the start of the game.
just really depends - there isnt a set amount of time as such.
I am happy to see the regens, because, for me at least, it adds to the mystery of the game. I am then not relying on my knowledge of "existing players" - the Beckham's, Rooney's, Kaka's etc. While I am always interested to see how they progress and whether they kick on to a staff career after they finish playing, I get a warm fuzzy feeling when a "regen" that I have helped developed, turns into a superstar....even if he has left my club. I'd much rather they didn't though. :-)

I did have three that appearred on one of my LLM games with FM06 - not with mind blowing stats, I think the highest was 160 PA, and that inspired me to keep playing.

With my game at the moment, I am just grateful to see a regen who looks halfway decent who actually wants to a) come to BSP and b) sign for fairly low wages!

I do like the cartoony faces - perhaps I am alone in that though.

The more the larger your database is the more wonderkids will show up

That's true for sure. I am really excited about the new youth-recruitment additions in fm12, by the way! I heard you will be able to pick which players will come into your youth team.
