Due to heavy work load and having twins last year, i have not been able to buy FM26. Well, ofcourse i would have if the reviews had been decent. But yeah.. ;).
So my question: Is it worth buying now? Has the biggest issues been fixed with updates, or is it still below average compared to FM24?
Give me your thoughts :).

It depends on what issues you might consider a deal breaker. Surely the game is at a better state after numerous patches, and there are certain addons (such as MrTini's skin for example) which help to feel better about the new UI.
FM26 is currently on sale at the lowest price it has been so far, therefore it might be a good time to take the plunge.
I would say it is getting better. I don’t really like the UI, but you can get used to it.
I’m not a fan of the full-screen zoom option, as I prefer to see more information on my screen at once.
I don’t do as much scouting as I did in FM24. Searching for players is frustrating because the available views are limited, which means you have to click around a lot.
I mainly focus on the matches, and they are more enjoyable to play than in the previous version. Not because of the graphics, but probably because the tactical approach can be adjusted in much greater depth than before.
I have to say with the latest big update (2 weeks ago) it crashed a lot, even when I try to close the game it stucks on the window where you select "save before closing? yes /no but it seems that the latest fix a few days ago fixed it (I hope so).
I am also not a fan of the UI because I can't find players and other things as easy as in FM 24, but I really like the way the match engine plays compared to fm 24 and also the new graphic is really good. The only problem may be the camera angle, I tried with some mod downloaded from here but I can't install it well and it did not work, so players are always too far in the tactical mode but if I use broadcast mode I can't see and analyze the whole field, so it's a bit disappointing. Pity that I am completely lacking of knowledge on how to make mods according to my desires, so I must accept the game as it is
As already recommended by Stam, Mr. Tini Skin is a really great addition to the game that makes the new interface much easier to understand and use
