Help Needed on Zorin Linux 17! Paid FM26 LE won't connect to FM26

I'm running FM26 from Steam on Zorin Linux 17 (Ubuntu-based) - licence shows fine, but it won't connect to FM26

I've heard it might be a matter of setting up the LE to use the same Proton prefix, but I've no idea what that means or needs. Pointers needed, thanks - I'm usually able to get anything Windows working on Zorin. Thanks, David
FMLE is Windows-only and isn't tested on Linux/Proton setups, so I can't officially support that scenario.

To make it work, FMLE would need to run inside the same Proton prefix as FM26 so it can access the game's memory. But that's a Linux-side configuration on your end, not something I can guide you through.

A heads-up for next time: FMLE is free to download and try out before buying a license, so you can verify compatibility on your setup before purchasing.
Yeah, wish I'd done that now...
I managed to install and play FM 26 on Ubuntu; I installed the Steam snap and the game runs fine, always using the Proton fix.
