FM26 Transfer Market

Just wondered if people have noticed the same thing as myself or am I just reading too much into it.

Current save is in Scotland with Celtic. Got completely immersed in this one (watching every single game etc).

I have noticed my team gets absolutely ran-sacked every single summer, struggle to get players to sign without release clauses (im 3 seasons in) and its just open season. Current one is the worst one yet...just lost Newerrton, Helland, Lenz, Engels, Zapelli, Ansah, Broholm...previous season I lost my 4 best players

My issue is, Rangers (obvious rivals) lose nobody. Got Chermiti up front who is an utter goal machine. Been well into the 30's in all 3 seasons and he is never unsettled, nobody is ever interested.....looking through transfer history they have never lost many players. My players, despite being in Champions League want to leave all the time, getting new players in is difficult as interest level is patchy. Just seems to me somewhat unbalanced.

If anyone has options to replace Ansah at striker that would be great hahaha. Scored 37 goals in all competitions but he only broke into my team due to an injury around November and he just got better and better....absolute beast of a striker.

No, don't play with any mods. Its just really odd when you look at the trends. Borussia Dortmund bought 4 of the 7 listed above and tried to get a 5th but they went to Bayern Munich.

That to me is buggy. Just not realistic

The one thing which frustrates me, all the above had release clauses of between £18.5m and £30m so I have got about £160m for them, in reality it should have been way more on actual value.

That's another thing which I don't understand on this game. Players who I am targeting playing for lower ranked teams but in good leagues i.e Bundesliga, Spanish Primera etc have values in excess of £50/£60m yet a striker I had (Illyas Ansah) who ripped up the league and champions league scoring tables, got 37 in the season, kicked off when I set his value at £30m, ended up having to agree to accept bids of £22m for him to maintain morale.

It could be a bug.

When your players have a release clause that is below their market value, other clubs will often try to take advantage of it and sign them cheaply. That is why you need to offer them a new contract before they become too popular, so you can either remove the clause or increase its value.

I usually offer an improved contract and try to remove the clause completely. If it is non-negotiable, then it becomes a different situation altogether.

Yeah, always try and renew to get rid of the clause but literally none of the above remotely interested in renewing. Its just a frustration of a lesser league I suppose.....can only sign them with a clause

Its the fact my team just gets ran-sacked every summer yet Rangers, who have had 1 invincible unbeaten season, don't lose any of their players. Its almost like a "catch-up" by the AI to balance things out.

Struggled to replace the 7 I lost with anywhere near the same quality, going to be an interesting season haha
