Error on uploading a database

I'm tryng to upload my first file on the website but the message that keeps showing is

"The upload failed, this file is too big or the extension is not allowed?"

I put the file in the mediafire too, and put in the URL section, but what happens is:

Characters '+', '/', '?', '%', '#', '&' are not allowed in aliases

Can you please help me?
