is there no way to get this retroactively disabled? FM12 updated w/o my knowledge (ty steam!), loaded my file, saved, etc etc. I wasn't aware that the .lnc files get re-installed w/ updates until I saw the German and Japan teams have a bunch of gens...right before the WC *sigh*... I deleted the .lnc files but it didn't matter, I suppose it was too late as I saved since the update.
I assume the only way is if I had a save file right before the update? Or is even that file still turned in to a steaming pile of fake nat'l team crap?
and now I know to disable auto-update on steam...
I think the real names fix can sort out the German national team issue even if you've already started a game.

I do like that DL, thanks. But, it didn't 100% resolve the issue.
how do you do it for the update on a mac?
I used a crack so that my game no longer connects to Steam (bought a used CD, not knowing it wouldnt work without me then buying it on Steam). Because of this, there are no Steam files in the directory listed. Is there another way for me to access the German National Team? Somewhere in the FM12 files?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
#33475 Evo :
As with previously installments of Football Manager, FM12 has a certain file that prevents you from managing the German national term and from current German players showing up in the national team, the applies to the Japanese national team. Fixing this is relatively simple, but the effects will only apply to games you have created after fixing it.
Go to:
Windows
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012\data\db\1200\lnc\all
Mac
[username]>library>Application support>Steam>steamapps>common>football manager 2012>data>db>1200>lnc>all
Here you will find 3 or more files:
- fake.lnc
- lic_dan_swe_fra.lnc
- nleague.lnc.
To unlock the German national team simply delete the fake.Inc file before you create a new game. The other files cause similar restrictions but apply to different competitions so you may as well delete all the files in this folder.
Note: Official updates contain these files too, so if your game has been patched then you will have to delete the files again in the relevant update folder. For example if your FM12 gets updated to 12.1 version go to > Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012\data\updates\update-12.1\db\1210\lnc\all
did all of the above n it didnt work u retarded handicap. go off n rape your mother u incest mistake!
i cant find the steam mapps on my mac.. installed it on steam! please help me
but i don't find file : Windows
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012\data\db\1200\lnc\all
