German national team

Ok, so I guess most people know how to manage the German national team and have real players. So I did what I had to do, started the game and everything was going peachy until the latest patch ruined it. Obviously I must have saved the game with the file that must be deleted completely unaware that the game had been updated, so now, when the next national squad is announced (Oct. 7th) all players are fake; the day prior to that (Oct. 6th), all players in the national squad are real. Anyone have an idea of what to do? Is everything lost?

they might have been replaced in the update? or check the FM folder and look for "update" and there might be a new folder with the "inc" files. i remember this happenening before in updates u had to remove incs from the new updates as well.

if not then i think it must be a bug, if so then SI have failed very badly this year with the amount of bugs.

Can't you restore it?

I have a similar problem. Before I noticed the players were greyed out, I had already progressed 6 months further in the game.

When did you notice this? Did the greying out happen after 30.06 or immediatly after the patch? Reason I ask is because if they got greyed again on a new season start, then removing the files might cause them to become ungreyed later on.

A possible fix, is a Competitions.lnc file available on sortitoutsi ( same person who made the facepacks that are available on this site) In the file a lot of competitions got renamed(which you can edit out easily) but it also has the international fixes and apperently is applied on a simple reload rather then restart. I haven't progressed far enough to see if it works on the national team, but it changed the name from Jens munstermann back to Oliver Kahn fine.
