How much do you change with the editor or FMRTE.


Not knocking anyone for changing it at all, its your game, play the way you want. Just curious.

None, although I've been accused of doing so. I opened the editor once and got completely lost, lol.

Accused how? Did you do a story? Because ive noticed some peoples stories(A different site mainly) are a little off. Again I said I dont knock it, Id just like to know in peoples stories if they do edit it.


I edit mine, not going to lie. Not much though. I usually add a feeder club in the US. Cus I can never get a club outside of England or Scotland. I think if i did a story I wouldnt edit it though.

I never edit, it ruins the game for me. I do use scouting utilities to find players CA, PA and hidden attributes though.

The more Caca scored, the more I was questioned, lol. The fireworks start on page 23, but it's more enjoyable if you read the entire story. You'll come to realize that I didn't do anything to edit Caca. I signed him early in his career and he defined an era of dominance for Newport County.

Just like Evo, I use scouting utilities but I never edit. Although I did use FMRTE once to fix a bug.
There was a bug in FM11 that when you withdraw your player from international duty, you practically end his international career. For some reason, the player will be withdrawn from playing for his country all of his career. Apparently, you have to use FMRTE to remove this bug.

Interesting. Dont think i ever recalled someone from International duty last year. Never experienced that bug then.


Oh ya I remembered what else I edit. I ALWAYS lower Alan Smith's contract, so I can move him. I hate Alan Smith.

Even if you did edit the game, who cares. Its not like people cant cheat in other ways in their story. Someone could save the game before a match. Play it and if you lose, return to the save and do it again. You could go undefeated with Wigan and noone would know lol.

I usually edit the database further down along the season to correct for some obvious mistakes, especially in the portuguese league, as far as player abilities and potentials go, or club's budgets. Last FMs were pretty bad in the last subject; portuguese top clubs are actually rather large spenders but they always had tiny budgets despite the fact of selling one or two players every season for over 20 million. This FM seems to be more in line with reality, so I haven't changed nothing yet.

I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of application that showed whether people used FMRTE or how many loads they do (replaying matches), then they had to attach it to their manager story. There seems to be more manager stories this year and I wonder how many people would have to resign from their stories due to match fixing scandals.

i used FMRTE to improve every english clubs youth recruitment levels in one game.
it worked very well, i had a new squad with everton in the second season. good players particularly coming from charlton.

i also do use it to get rid of the wage budget thiefs sometimes, like heskey ect.
and in every fm i have owned i make el hadj diouf's career hell.

I used FMTRE for only one purpose, to put myself in the game as a wonderkid. I use Uncle Ron's level 7 to 8 league tiers, put myself in at a low level (in Belper FC at moment) and see how the REGEN's career develops. I also use FMScout (when it becomes available) to get the best youngsters coming through the game and develop them at the club I am managing..
