GK sent off!!!

For the first time ever i have seen the oppositions goalkeeper sent off for handling outside the area

I am playing against fulham and a through ball comes in from ramsey to play in bendtner and the fulham gk david stockdale gets there first, dives on the ball on the edge of the area and slides out the area with the ball still in his hands. Straight red card.

Never seen the match engine do that before

Same happened to me only it was my keeper that got sent off.

Happened against me on FM11. Was in the semi-final first leg of the Champions League as Manchester United vs Real Madrid and Casillas of all keepers did exactly that! Strange and probably extremely rare but I guess it happens even in the real world.

well the game is so realistic that this little incident could have been passed as a graphical glitch in other games but fm is precise in even noting that the goalkeeper crossed the line by a few cms while handling the ball

Happened to me twice. both against me :D.
Once it was red (A strict ref ofc) and once a yellow (non strict).
So, Strict ref = red 100/0
Non strict ref = Yellow card red card 50/50 i am guessing.

That sounds scary, I never keep a goalie in my subs, if that ever happens to me I'm doomed.

it is a great part of the match engine as it does happen, i have played for 3 seasons and it happened to me once so that is realistic enough for me

Just happened to me for the first time on FM12. Stade Brestois 29's keeper just slid out of the area with the ball in his hands but he only got a yellow card. However, as further punishment, Antoine Griezmann scored the freekick to increase my lead to 3-0..

Yeah i had in in FM11 when my keeper came out to collect as normal, stood up to kick the ball upfield, and in doing so was ruled to have marginally held the ball outside the area.

Sent off. Rubbish.

i also dont have gk sub. so if it happens to me, i kill myself !!

Never seen a keeper bring a player down in a one on one.

Never seen a foul throw given.

Never seen a free kick, penalty, corner or throw in ordered re-taken.

Never seen a drop ball.

Never seen a player booked for time wasting.

There are probably others I can`t think of now. Have any of you guys seen any of the above?

Never seen any of the above, but speaking about goalies, it's also very rare to see a goalie forced out for an injury. This, added to the rarity of goalies being sent off, is why usually I dont keep a goalie in the subs. However these things happen much more frequently in real football, so they always do keep a replacement goalie in the subs.

I have never seen it happen although wouldn't mind doing, so long as it's in my favour!
