bug about the cl awards

i won the champions league final against chelsea with van persie scoring hat trick and reaching 12 goals in the competition. But when the match finished villa won the golden boot with 11 goals. Did this happen to anyone else?

i think it is not a bug, it happens because goals scored before groups stages is not counted. i think van persie scored goals before group stages in cl.
