Does anyone know where to install the key when using winebottler for GS12.

I'm not personally aware of that, perhaps a Mac user could shed some light on this.
But isn't there some directory that GS12 exists? The key has to be inside that folder.

I succeed: I loaded GS12 with Wine Bottler. If you did it too, go to the app (WineBottler), click on the "search" icone next to the Genie scout file (magnifying glass) to open Genie Scout directory. Then, open the "drive_c" file and paste the key. It worked for me!
Don't hesitate to ask me if it's not clear (i'm not english lol).

Did you follow the Wine Bottler tutorial from the other thread and then just did what you said here?
If yes, I can just update that tutorial, or if you wish to write a new tutorial please go ahead.
I have tried that but it still does not work.

I finally managed to do it myself. Thanks to you JudeNeilHickey. Do what Jude explain, but after you have open the "drive_c" , open the "FM Genie Scout 12g" folder and paste it in here. Thats what made it work for me.

I got the key installed, but when I try to load a saved game, I get this error message:
"access violation at address 00756425 in module 'FMGenieScout.exe' Read of address 00000000"
Has anyone else had the same experience??

You're right, I'm sorry, i forgot the last step which is, as you said, opening the "FM Genie Scout 12g" and paste the key there! Sorry

I don't know if it's related with your problem but i have a problem too when i try to load my savegame. I spoke with Eugene about and he'll try to fix it: it's about modified database savegame, this GS version is not compatible yet. So, for those who have these kind of message when they try to load savegame ("invalid Zstream operation", "list of capacity is out of bound") it could be the same problem!
As I´ve got some PM´s, and some people still haven´t made it work, I will post some pictures to show you how it should be done. Hope its easier to understand from pictures!
1. Open WineBottler and find your prefix.

I put the key in the correct folder (C:\FM Genie Scout 12G) however I still get the message saying Key not found. I do not have a Mac Computer. Please HELP!!
