Backing up a Saved game

I think I need to restore my hard drive back to factory settings as I have an internet connection issue which I cannot solve.

Can I back up my existing saved game to a USB or External hard drive as I do not want to lose my current progress?

Go to My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012/Games.
All your save files should be there, and can be saved elsewhere.
