hi there i been asking people how do i control mt under 19's team i have checked play same formation as first team i have tryed controling the team myself i still cant change the formation all i can do is change training when i uncheck control team so one of my coaches does it and check and uncheck play same formation as first team it still dont work anyone have any idea what i can do or what do i need to do

Never had this problem before normally i leave my academy manager to handle all the U18'set up but when i take control of the cup games my tactics work ok ?

hi thanx for the reply yeah i thought if i checked the play same formation as first team it would change it but it stays on static 4-4-2 i play 4-2-3-1 and if i checked control team id be able to change it myself but only can change training which is annoying this must be the first problem i have had with fm2012
I have the same problem. No matter what I changed at the team policy screen, I have no control about my youth team whatsoever. This is getting more and more frustrating, as the youth team uses a different formation, which means that all my new talents sit on the bench, while their places are occupied by the cream of the crap.
