Loading problems with Genie Scout

I downloaded genie scout and put it in my program files, but whenever I go to load it, it starts to constantly open new internet windows, and basically overloads my entire computer with 50 or 60 new windows. It does this immediately upon loading and I've tried to uninstall it and reinstall it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I got the exact same problem. It all starts with the attached error message:



OS: Win 7PRO 64bit

I planned to make a donation to get the g version, but I'm not able to open the program.

I found the solution, at least for me:

On my computer the normal user is without administrator rights. What I had to do is to right click on the program and use the option "Run as administrator".

It's now loading without problems...

Now I have to solve another problem: Genie can't load my saved game... It sais Fileposition: -1.

The problem that i have (with both beta versions) is:-
It is slow to load and looks "fractured" and my mouse pointer keeps flickering,
after about 5 minutes it looks okay but when i look up a players details it does it again.
I am running Windows 7.
Any help would be appreciated,

Same as above, Windows 7, 64 bit.
I have this on both versions and does not working even if i use the program with "Run as administrator".
I think its something with the ads, since the ads file is empty and when i launch the program i cant see them, only empty blank and IE keeps trying to load them so the screen flashing and cant load the program.
Also when i launch fm scout 12, in the installed directory two files pops out ( ban_horizontal.html and ban_vertical.html ).
Hope this will help you to fix it, since its really annoying to have the scout but to not be able to use it. : )

It would be nice if we can have a solution as to why our GS 12's don't work properly, come on Stam, look into it.

I have the same problem.

I had the same problem, then i donated and got the G version and now everything is fine.

The problem is that i can't see my unique ID without opening the Genie.

This problem with IE opening all over the place only happened to me when i tried to run it in compatibility mode and sometimes when i clicked on "load last game", but if i clicked on "load" and then picked a game it would still do the flickering thing but load eventually, then i could click the GS icon in the top left to get my unique ID.

So GS12 is not anymore free? Since you have to pay to have the working one... : )

Apparently there are plenty of people out there with a free working version of GS, i wasn't one of them so i contributed and now have paid for a working one, maybe other people should try it!
