I've been having loading issues, and when I tried to download the new 202 version appeared to install correctly but when I opened the file it said a new version is available and it said I was using the 200 version.
Steps I took:
Downloaded the 202 version from all three filehosting websites linked on I ended up with a file called "genie12_setup_b202.exe". I use a mac, so I used the instructions given on how to install Genie Scout using winebottler.
Installation was successful, so I opened the application up and it had the usual message about geniescout being corrupted (normal for winebottler), and got a message saying that a new version is available. Upon checking the check for updates tool I found that I was using the 200 version.
Preemptive answers to your troubleshooting questions:
1. I did not accidentally click the old application. I deleted the 200 version application entirely and installed from scratch no less than three times, from each filehost.
2. I did not download the incorrect file. I downloaded from the links given and downloaded a file called "genie12_setup_b202.exe".
3. I followed the instructions on installing Genie Scout on a mac to the letter. I unclicked "launch application", I changed the windowsexplorer option to GenieScout2012.exe, etc etc.
I don't have a Mac and therefore I cannot help you. By the way, you didn't have to download the same file from all mirrors, I included 3 mirrors for convenience in case people have issues downloading from one or another.
i have the same problem...
