alright, so I'm still new to football manager so this may be a stupid question.

I'm currently managing Sydney FC (a small fish, but good to learn my way around i find)
but my problem comes with trying to sign new players.

according to my finances i have a salary cap budget available of $25.11k per week and a transfer budget of $131k, and yet, when i try to sign new players i cant offer them a wage higher then about $800 p/w (that they naturally turn down cause they are asking for $2500 p/w)

the game says the board is getting in the way and i don't understand why?

any tips?
well first when ur offering contract to players if u choose their player status to higher u should be able to give more in wage.

also a wage budget is not available that u can offer 1 player the full wage budget.

another thing u can can fix your budget so add more to ur wages.

third u can ask the board for more wages.

explanation on above, if u got 25k in wage budget it is usually capped down, u can never offer 25k to 1 player.

also a bit depends on how strong the clubs overall finances are. if they are stronger u should be able to offer a bit more on 25k budget.
