It seems like most people are primarily interested in the CA/PA ratings in Genie Scout. However, for the purposes of this thread, I am interested in the mechanics of the position ratings.

Do you all adjust/tweak the attribute weights in order to tailor the position ratings? If so, what criteria do/would you use? I have never messed with these before, although I have, in the last few game versions, used the position ratings as my main guide to purchasing players with a great deal of success.

As an example, if a player's RB rating is 78% (entirely hypothetical), what in-game role are the attributes weighted to reflect? I realize that if I care deeply about pace, for instance, I can adjust the weight of pace in the calculation of position rating. I just don't want to totally screw up the ratings by fussing with them before I have figured out the mechanics a bit better.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Eugene (GS author) is the most appropriate person who could explain this but I'm not sure he would want to do it, because other application are always on the lookout to replicate his formula.

I honestly don't know how it works myself, so I can't really help.
