Linking my game to the editor

I have searched for Liverpool on the editor, click on the player list, and it is the original player list (i.e there are no players i have signed on it) I imagine there must be a way of doing this but i cant seem to find it, can someone help?

the editor only edits the game for the start. you cant load up a saved game and edit that through the original editor.
