I´m playing Man. City with Adam Johnson bounding down the left and crossing from the byline into the centre. Only very rarely is another player ready to tap in on the far post. Would instructing them to "move into channels" increase their conversion rate...or does it mean something else????
no I doubt in this case moving into channels would help massively, as moving into channels I think means that he tries to find spaces between the opposition players. I would play Johnson on the right and have him cut inside like he is current used for in real life. If using your tactic I would concentrate his crossing, and also maybe move into channels if he plays very attractively on the wing rather than an all round winger.
