Ligue 1 - 2011/2012

Second game of the season, I opted to not make any changes from the line-up from the first game, only to change the tempo I wanted played; I made it a bit higher. The starting line-up:


All players played the same roles as the previous match as it worked well in my opinion. Well, for nearly the whole game, we were on the backfoot and always trying to get a hold in the game. In the end, we were lucky to draw. Rennes had many chances, and our chances were few and far between.

Still in the market for a few more players to backup some of the "weak links" in the team, such as Lovren or Shaqiri.

Europa League 4th Qualifying Round Leg 1

My first game in the Europa League, and I thought I might rest some players, and play some of the bench players:


We had control the whole game, but were just wasteful in front of goal. At half time, where it was 0-0, I thought we needed some of the fist XI players back on, so I put van der Wiel, Nene and Chantome all on. They made an impact, especially Nene, who whipped in a corner that found Sakho's head for the first and only goal.

Yeah, I played against him and was impressed. They played him at DCM, will have a look, but dont have much to spend sadly.

Third game of the Ligue 1 Season, and I played the same team again:


In the first half, we completely dominated, with it being 4-0 at half time. Chantome and Nene were both subbed off at half time and replaced with Belluschi and Menez. It would seem the team became complacent as they concended two late goals in the second half. The game finished 4-2.
