Heeeeey guys it's your manager wsibley15, and today, I have begun a gripping story of which Sunderland, a struggling premier league side, will be restored to great glory of the early 20th century. In order for you to have an interest of the club, I shall give some brief facts about the 'black cats'.

FOUNDED: 1875

GROUND: Stadium of light, capacity of 48, 707

OWNER: Ellis Short/ Niall Quinn

Once I began my game, I was given a reasonable amount of finance. I was offered 7.5 million for a top half finish, with a wage budget of 905,000. In order to use this effectively, I concentrated my finance towards my wage budget, giving me roughly 200 thousand a week in wages.

My original side consisted of the following:

GK: CRAIG GORDAN
LB: JOHN O'SHEA
CB: WES BROWN AND TITUS BROWN
RB: MARCOS ANGELERI
RM: SEB LARSSON
CM: LEE CATERMOLE
LM: KIERAN RICHARDSON
AM: STEPHANE SESSEGNON
ST: JI DONG WON AND NICKLAS BENDTNER

After studying the team, it was clear to see that a quality striker was required in order to fire my way into the top half. The midfield is reasonably pleasing, with sessegnon the advanced play maker a particular highlight. However,I felt a versatile winger/ wing back could benefit the team further. Sunderland's defense is by far the strongest part of the team, due to Wes brown and john o'shea being drafted in from Man utd for low transfer fees.Although clearly, TITUS BRAMBLE is an embarrassingly poor centre back which had to be replaced immediately. In tearms of goalkeepers, Sunderland were certainly not struggling, as Craig gordan and Simon mignolet both have very good potential.

TRANSFERS:

Due to releasing jack colback and other youngsters on loan, my wage budget increased even further, so by making bids including future fees, i had the ability to spend around 20 million pounds. Although this may not benefit the club in the long term, the short term impact is certainly worthwhile.

My first signing consisted of a sensational wonderkid, Marko Arnautovic. With potential of 4 and a half star and 4 star current, I felt it was a no brainer to snap him up for a 0 pound current fee and 14 million future fee. playing in the poacher role, his finishing attribute could be a drawback, but his first touch, pace and dribbling may be able to cover this up. Here is his profile:

After these signings, my main aim was to sign young, quality players which could help to boost a euro challenge, Theses signings included Gary Cahill, Mame Biram Diouf and andres guardado, the left winger, all with great potential. Besides, I'd rather have Gary Cahill then TITUS SHAMBLES.

SO, with the team complete, the tactics prepared, and the players motivated, my aim is to win the league with Sunderland and reach the semi finals of the champions league in as little as 4 years. Although this is a long and challenging prospect, I hope you have the will to follow my story and comment on how my progress is going!

I shall post my first ten games as soon as possible.

Heeeeeeey guys its your manager wsibley 15. An absolute catastrophe is the only phrase which can be used to describe my current situation at the club. With Niall Quinn unwilling to provide any more finance, and picking up a disastrous 6 points from 8 games, i've decided that drastic changes must be made.

Tactics:

Perhaps a foolish error was to encourage fluid football at the club. With no natural play maker with the exception of sessegnon, I've decided to encourage, rigid, more disciplined football, aiming to grind out victories. Despite the fact i've only lost to the top teams by 1 goal margins and in some occasions with ten men, i'm losing by embarrassing amounts to teams such as west brom.

STRIKER CRISIS!

After fining marko arnautovic 1 weeks wages for getting sent off, he went absolutely bezerk, causing havoc at the club. As well as marko, Ji dong won wants to go back to south korea as he cannot settle! Nicklas Bendtner has been useless, after scoring only one goal, a thirty yard screamer against wolves. The top scorer at the club is Mame diouf, with a measly 3 goals. To say i need a striker, is an understatement.

TITUS BRAMBLE:

Titus bramble. What more to say other than the fact that he's probably the worst centre back on the game. He effectively lost me the game against man utd, getting a red card in the first minute and being a general clown. He's never playing again.

Although my progress is slow and disappointing for many of you, the altering of tactics and a crucial team meeting may begin a revolution for the black cats. Please keep following and feel free to give feedback/advice and recommend players!
AH NO BRAMBLE! Unlucky mate, hard challenge. DO NOT GIVE UP!
