Hey guys, :)

Leicester City, known as one of the ''Sugar daddy clubs'' with the prediction of 5th place, came to my attention of being a great and exciting challenge for you all to follow.

THE SQUAD:

After a good look at the boys, I noticed how strong my team was, with the likes of Pantsil and Beckford at the club, however the poor amount of width needed to be adjusted. With Matt Mills being captain of the side, I knew that he would do a great job. In addition, with my choice of the diamond formation, Andy King was a slight weak link in AMC, which needed to be addressed.

TEAM INSTRUCTIONS:

No real surprises with these instructions, and after a 7-0 win over Liverpool Reserves, I knew the players would adjust to these tactics well.

TRANSFERS:

With around 4 million to spend, I was able to sign 3 solid players, and from my past gaming experience, are very reliable and good players. Here are my signings and sales:

Further more, these buys resulted in my first team lining up as follows:

I'm looking forward to this challenge, so please, follow this topic, as I will update per week ASAP :D

Very good selection of club, excellent finances and current squad ability of the highest standard for lower leagues! I would have liked to find out more about Darwin Quintero, perhaps he's the Charles Darwin of football!? Nice use of pictures and concise amount of information makes me want to follow your story! Looks great, champions league must be the ultimate goal? Btw, andy king has great potential as a young british player, so my one recommendation would be not to sell him! and you sold Sol Bamba for quite a low transfer fee to a premier league club, so in my opinion poor business. However, i'm sure you will succeed.

START OF THE SEASON FIXTURES UPDATE:
http://i40.tinypic.com/102o9c8.png

With 6 games played so far, and considering my prediction of 5th position, the start to my season has been very successful, also considering a few hard fixtures, especially Birmingham away, which resulted in a 2-1 loss, due to a late and dramatic winner by David Murphy in the 90th minute. As you can see, new signing LuaLua suffered at 3 week injury during this game, however he has been a very promising signing.

THE LEAGUE TABLE:
http://i39.tinypic.com/244nomo.jpg

This current league position has been due to superb performances throughout, however new boy DARWIN QUINTERO has shined from the rest, with 10 goals in 8 games, with 8 of these in the league, resulting in him being 2nd top goal scorer behind Billy Sharp with 12. Darwin's current statistics are as follows:

RESULTS:
http://i40.tinypic.com/29dk7rn.png

The most promising of these results with a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest at home, in which Quintero scored 2. After taking a very early 3-0 lead, a tap in goal was not enough to beat the boys.

I hope our form continues- Thank you.

Story looks good so far mate, Quintero looks like a beast of a signing, he will be top goalscorer come end of the season.

If you can perform and reinforce places you can easily win this league!

Good look for the rest of the season
An interesting start to your season Jsalmon09. I would agree with Mr Sibley in that selling Bamba for such a low fee may have been a mistake. Quintero looks like an excellent signing, I'm sure his goals will fire you to at least the playoff's this season. I will be keeping a close eye on this story..

Darwin Quintero looks to be a future Leicester City legend! Great signing, I'll have to have a cheeky look at him on my game too, lol.
Is there any reason you're getting rid of Andy King? Just don't like him or something? He turns into a pretty solid midfielder, and you'll probably be able to fetch a decent price for him in future too.
Thank you for you comments guys, much appreciated! @DEMBA- referring to your question, I do agree and I have changed my mind about him, as LuaLua is very injury prone, he is played very well and very often in the CAM role for the club :)

About to do a new update on this story so keep reading!

JANUARY UPDATE:

So far this season, results have been very mixed, with spells of glory, and spells of poor performances, however on the current date of 31st January, we sit in a very promising position of 2nd place :D

LEAGUE TABLE:
http://i44.tinypic.com/jb4mxv.png

Despite a fairly large gap between us and Southampton, and considering being in 10th place not long before, I'am very happy with our recent performances and our current position.

FIXTURES:

http://i43.tinypic.com/dnedms.png

As you can see, several different spells of results, however our recent form, in which I have highlighted, have shown some very promising signs. These changes have been due to several changes in tactics as I have changed to ''Classic mode'' which I feel is more of a challenge and gives more skill into the game.

KEY PLAYERS:

DARWIN QUINTERO, as shown before, has proven to be a very good buy for such a low fee, however even with a spell on a goal drought, he has continuously been unreal for the club, therefore giving him an increase of wages and a new 4 year deal at the club. Here are his current statistics:

http://i40.tinypic.com/2mplldc.png

Other key players include Pantsil, and Andy King, who has played several games recently due to long term injuries LuaLua has faced. Beckford has also been great after recovering from his sprained ankle.

JANUARY BUYS

After conceding many sloppy goals, I thought a young fresh CB would help, aswell as a cheap 300k buy for Sean Davis. This young CB is called Mario Fernandes, and with a report of in the future being as good as Carlos PUYOL, he had to be signed, 3mil pay up fee, with 7mil over 48 months- expensive but worth it.

http://i39.tinypic.com/2kps1t.png

His current ability is 4 star, with a 4 and a half star potential, in which I have underlined.

Jsalmon09
Mario Fernandes looks like a very good buy. Could end up being world class.

SEASON UPDATE FINISH:

WE'RE GOING TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE! After a dramatic season of thrills and spills, the league table finished as follows:

http://i40.tinypic.com/fp835w.png

In fairness to Southampton, they showed excellent courage and skill throughout the season, and were worthy winners, however our final position, overall, reflected our talent, in which I can develop further into the Premier League.

Championship player and team statistics:

http://i39.tinypic.com/2agw879.png
http://i40.tinypic.com/kbx7wj.png

As you can see Darwin Quintero, although suffering several injuries, especially towards the end of the season, shone throughout, scoring goals, as well as playing good football, giving him a nice average rating. Other impressive players for my team included Mario fernandes (7.32), Beckford (7.20) and Pantsil (7.02).

BILLY SHARP POSSIBLE SIGNING? No, although a great season throughout, I do not believe he would be a success in the Premier League.

FIXTURES:

http://i43.tinypic.com/142zrqw.png

As you can see, our unbeaten run continued further more, however came to a crashing blow against hull, who scored a penalty in the 80th minute. However, overall, our fixtures consisted of scoring several goals (making us top goal scorers), in addition, conceding too many in certain, important games.

To conclude our season, with the prediction of 5th, the start of the " Reformation" of Leicester has started on a huge high, and I hope we can be very successful in the premier league.

PLEASE KEEP FOLLOWING MY PREMIER LEAGUE CAMPAIGN AND NEW UPDATE ON MY TRANSFERS WHICH WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW!

SORRY GOT CARRIED AWAY- DONE MY FIRST SEASON OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE, HOWEVER HERE IS HOW MY JOURNEY WENT:

PREDICTION:

20TH (NO SURPRISES THERE)

TRANSFERS:
After a nice fee of 13 mil to spent, a few great transfers were made:

IN:

GYAN-8.5
KARA-10 MIL (5m over 48 months)
ROYSTON DRENTHE-FREE
AMBROSINI-FREE
AFONSO ALVES-FREE

OUT:
MATT MILLS-3.6 MIL
PELTIER LEE- 400K

(RELEASED ALL MY BAD RESERVES AND U18)

TEAM INSTRUCTIONS:

Team instructions were very similar to last season, however a deeper back line was encouraged and a more defensive style of play. The formation stayed the same (4-4-2 diamond), with Kara as my DM, and Andy King still my AMC.

THE TEAM:

GK: Kasper Schmeichel
RB: John Pantsil
CB: Mario Fernandes
CB: Aleksander Tunchev
LB: Paul Konchesky
DM: Kara
LM: Royston Drenthe
RM: Yuki Abe
AMC: Andy King
ST: Afonso Alves ( Or Darwin Quintero)
ST: Gyan

With a very weak team overall, I was worried, but who knows, anything could happened......

THE FIXTURES:

A poor start- resulting in a shocking 19th place :(, however I still had faith, but the nerves were kicking in.

http://i43.tinypic.com/142zrqw.jpg

However, after a few more shocking results, resulting in us being 20th, a miracle happened in the last 8 games, some how, from somewhere, after a free signing of Hamit Altintop, and a change of tactics to a more attacking style of play, the results of magic occured..... (NO I DID NOT CHEAT!)

http://i43.tinypic.com/16beavn.png

I could not believe my eyes. We stayed up, in a very good 15th place! I was thrilled, the players were thrilled, and the board were thrilled. After this, we brought our Stadium off our owners, helping us financially in the future.

http://i39.tinypic.com/30jmal5.png

THE GOOD:

ANDY KING and AFONSO ALVES and KARA were my main key players throughout the season, with many assists from Andy King, 10 goals for Afonso (good compared to Gyan-which will be mentioned soon) and considerably all round solid performances for Kara.

THE BAD:

GYAN- worst buy ever, with an AWFUL 4 goals in 26 games. Biggest waste of money. HATE THE MAN.

Overall, sorry for the rush of this season, however this season was a very hard season, which ended up with a fantastic outcome.

PLEASE KEEP FOLLOWING FOR MY 2ND SEASON IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE AND AGAIN, SORRY FOR THE RUSH!
Great run at the end to stay up. But I think you could really use another center-back to replace Tunchev. And another center mid while you're at it.
Andy King doing the business. Glad you didn't sell him!
SEASON 2 OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE:

PREDICTION:

15TH- SAME AS LAST SEASON OUTCOME

TRANSFERS:

http://i40.tinypic.com/x1ask9.png

(ROOM transfer done in the January transfer window+ SHAWCROSS deal including monthly instalments). As you can see, some world class signings were made, which particularly addressed our defensive problems, with 160 CA SHAWCROSS, and 150 CA SENDEROS. In addtion, the worlds worst player (GYAN) was sold for, some would say, a very low fee, but in my opinion, it was more than worth it. :)

The real highlight, in my opinion, was 164 CA KAGAWA on a free transfer :D

THE TEAM:

GK: Kasper
RB: Fernandes
CB: Shawcross
CB: Senderos
LB: Masilela
DM: Kara
RM: Altintop
LM: Perotti
AMC: Kagawa
ST: Quintero
ST: Cisse

Looking ahead to the new season, positive thoughts were on my mind, targeting hopefully a league cup trophy win and any sort of improvement in the league.

FIXTURES:

http://i43.tinypic.com/ajqpur.png

With a mixture of shocking and great results, my results to January were mixed, however with the league position of 16th, I was not happy. Once again, a bad start to the season, however after the drama of last season, I still remained hopeful.

Furthermore negative results, my league cup plan did not go very well at all, losing against Aston villa (away). FA cup, therefore was not on my mind. I was focusing on the league.

KEY PLAYERS SO FAR:

SHAWCROSS, the new captain of the side, has been a very successful player so far, with an average rating of 7.0. ROYSTON DRENTHE, also played very well, replacing the injury prone Perotti.

THE BAD:

Cisse, suffering several injuries, causing him only to play 5 games for the club thus far.

THE END TO THE SEASON:

http://i43.tinypic.com/nxmhox.png

With a slight improvement, we finished 14th (one position better than last year) which was fairly disappointing, due to my expectations from my strong team, however nevertheless, every little counts. Cisse, following his injuries, came back well with 9 goals and 5 assists in 16 games. The table finished as follows:

http://i41.tinypic.com/2ibkqom.png

Following wolves magic season last year, this year was a shocker for them, getting relegated, and doing poorly in the Champs League and Europa. Twice promoted back to back seasons for Sheff UTD, was also followed by a poor season. Man UTD however, had won the league again.

To conclude, A pretty boring season, however my new signings had proven to improve my squad, although not by much, its allows me to continuing building my team.

PLEASE KEEP FOLLOWING THIS TOPIC FOR MY 3RD SEASON IN THE PREM!!!!!!! :D
Hey, it all looks really good. I'm doing a career with leicester and in my second season, I'm tenth in the prem. However, I don't want to sound snooty, but in your pics, the screen shows the club badges and the premier league logo. I was wondering how you got these as football manager doesn't have full rights to the prem??? , and on all other copies of football manager, you can't get the badges or logo??
