No relation between possession and goals!

First of all, I have to say that we're not in real trouble (standing top of the league at the moment). The things is that we usually concede three or four times the shots that we have. This makes it hard to win (in fact, most of our goals come from corner kicks). Lets's take a look at the match I'm playing now. Minute 26. 2 shots tried, 6 conceded. Losing 1-0. But here comes the funny part 69% POSSESSION!!!! It's always like this. We usually end up winning by 1 or 2 goals, when we clearly deserve more. I play a 4-1-2-1-2, where the midfielders above the DM are wingers. I know that our luck will finish anytime soon, and we'll stop winning. Any ideas?

Change your passing to more direct and use the following shouts:

Hassle opponents
Get ball forward
Exploit the flanks

It's possible it may help to reduce the level of fluidity, at least for a while, to focus the players more on the idea of going to goal. I don't have any proof, anecdotal or experimental, that's true, but I notice we'll often get criticised by opposing managers that we'd be better off by shooting more and "not trying to walk the ball into the goal", and that's the only setting I can think of that would be influencing that.

kinda of a funny 1 that,i get it alot"not trying to walk the ball into back of net" even when my team just won say 4-0.

back on topic.Where is your possession? even with 69% if your just passing it along the back and midfield possession wont amount to much.I had this when i used to play a 442 alot example ive had 74% and had 6shots on goal.
i would agree with manumad go direct and try the"get ball forward"shout.Maybe get your strikers to shoot more from distance might work
