Givin' it a try!

Hi to you all, after a year or so reading your story's, i decided to give it a go myself My name's Rafael and i'm a 17 year old portuguese guy, and i play fm since fm10. So, its my first time writing story, and the story format will be changing (to a better one i hope :D) along the way, so be nice in the beginning xD

the team i'll be managing is athletic bilbao because that rule of only basque players just arouses me

i started in 11th june 2011(portugal starting time), but i'm already at 24th september. i will post the transfers i've made in the summer aswell as my tactics and such. any tips and opinions will be highly appreciated !

Your English seems fine mate. I have never managed a La Liga team, so other people need to recommend you players. Can't wait for your story.

I have never done la liga in all my 10 years of cm/fm experience. As its such a attacking game with a lot of technically gifted players. I would probably get some tall defenders so you dont concede too many. But its going to be interesting. GOOD LUCK!!

while I was uploading and such, i found time to play the espanyol game. drawed 2-2, their second goal being a bucket of cold water in 90th min. darn those guys, but 27 shots against 7 of them. i told them what i think and they need to get those shots on goal (preferably inside the net xD)

pays basque is a region of spain. bilbao is a city of that region. bilbao only wants players that are basque. i think it is a good rule in a way but very limitated in another way. but it gives authenthecy to the club. here in portugal, the portuguese federation of football is deciding two rules for the upcoming season. 2 more clubs and they are trying to put some breaks on the number of foreigners that clubs can use. a local team of a nearby place of my house has no portuguese players in their squad. in the premier league, there are 4 or 5 portuguese players (average) and that is being very criticided. portuguese players are good and the clubs prefer foreign ones.

October Update

So, october was a good month for bilbao snatching 5 WINS out of 6 games. also, my chairman gave me 10million euros more for transfers for us being in a healthy financial situation.
back to the games, sevilla was the only 'tight' game we had, because the others i always had 60,65% ball and 20+ shots while the other teams their shots wouldnt reach 10.



Thats how the copa del rey looks like for now. it was the fourth eliminatory and my team did get complacent and only got a 1-0 victory. i think in my stadium thinks will be diferent and we could see lots of goals, this team being a 3rd or 4t division team. Kudos for Real Union for drawing nil-nil to a barca side
