The Back Story

I am looking to do exactly what the legend l3nnart is doing. Something that I have been looking to do for ages, it's just so much more realistic.
The ambition is for me to become the worlds greatest manager, I don't know how long it will be but I won't stop till I get there! I need to over-come all the down falls, turn seasons around and hopefully not turn a club upside down.

I know this will be my second story on here, the Tottenham will continue but I felt the need to finally try this out.

Getting Started...

So, I started unemployed with 'Sunday League Footballer' experience. I applied for all the jobs available in July and a good few of the clubs came calling. I took the Guarani job. They were looking quite comfortable in the league as it shows:

The best player at the club is probably this Fabricio, 31, left sided player:

Bring on the second tier of Brazilian Football!
i like players who can play in more than 2 positions as it helps throughout the season if you get injuries/suspensions
Yeah, but my squad -like most Brazilian Squads- is massive! So, I should be okay.

Throwing it away..

I started off with a couple of poor performances and horrendous defeats, including a 4-0 defeat to Bragantino. After the poor spell, I started picking up pace and went 10 games undefeated.

Till I lost a game and from there I can't pick up a win. Losing to teams who go a man down in 8 minutes. Here is all my results and my last 4 fixtures:

More results and the last 4 games:

I think, if by some amazing miracle I win the last 4 games.. I could catch Nautico who are 5 points ahead of me in 4th place. During the season, I have come seriously close to catching top spot. At one stage I was 11 points clear of 5th spot.. I dropped it all though. Here is the current league table and my past positions...

Promotion I think has slipped through my hands, if my next game ends in defeat I plan on resigning.

ASA 2-1 Guarani

The defeat resulted in Guarani boss leaving his post. He gave us this statement:
"I don't think staying in Brazil will benefit my career... If Promotion was still an option it'd be a different story of course. I have learned a lot here and I will be looking forward to pursuing my career elsewhere. Ha, you never know, I might end up back here!"

A Step down?

The season was drawing near, clubs were losing managers. Managers were losing clubs. This was where I needed to be on my toes. Ready for the right job to come. Albion Rovers, Scottish 2nd Division and about to be relegated to third. Rejected. Wycombe Wanderers, About to be relegated from NPL1. Delayed till the official end of season. They came calling again, I asked for one more week.. They said they wanted an answer now. After being put on the spot. I accepted.

Without even thinking what I had got myself into.
Finances: 300k
So many players were about to be released and I didn't have the money to keep them in.

I brought in quite a lot of free agents on youth contracts, I'm only paying them £55 a week. They are a good couple of young talented players as well.

I need to keep hold of the key older players. Hopefully some of which aren't leaving in a week or two's time.

It is still post-season, not really made the transaction to pre-season.

Once everything is finalised, I will give screen shots etc.

I will also be the Ivory Coast U23's head coach for the OG.

I think I maybe have something going here..

Pre-Season Game #1
Wycombe Wanderers 0 - 4 Newcastle United

My first Pre-Season game was against a very strong Newcastle United squad. We got forward on a couple of occasions.
Harper-Penman had a couple of decent efforts from range, one Tim Krul had to save, the other skimmed the.. I would say
crossbar, but I think it actually clipped the top of the stadium, haha. They went 3-0, there third goal had them, sitting
out my box struggling to break down my defence before Guthrie crossed from deep to go 3-0 up. Full-Time result: 4-0

Pre-Season Game #2
Wycombe Wanderers 0 - 2 Arsenal FC

Arsenal played there best team in this game. Given me no chance. The final result was 2-0. Arsenal's first goal was
a ball played through to Arteta who broke through about 3 of my defenders to score. There 2nd goal came from a scrap before
the ball was cleared against my defender and put RVP clean through on goal. My only bit of good play came right at the end,
the ball was crossed from Harper-Penman, no one got on the end of it, Basey swung it in again and it was headed clear.

Pre-Season Game #3
Burton Albion 5 - 1 Wycombe Wanderers

This game was one I really had to be winning which I didn't. I got hammered. Nuff said.

Pre-Season Game #4
Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 Aston Villa

Bloody Classic! Aston Villa were playing there best squad too. 3-0 at half-time. Heskey pulled it back to 3-1 after sloppy
defending from my side. A great 3-1 victory.

Pre-Season Game #5
Salibury 1-5 Wycombe Wanderers

A neat 5-1 victory over a team in the league below me. I had the assistant take this friendly as I was busy with Ivory
Coast

Pre-Season Game #6
Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Hull City

I wasn't present at this game either, a very nice 1-1 draw with a strong Championship side(I'm so unbias).

Pre-Season Game #7
Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 VW Hamme

A Belgian third tier side, who I felt we needed to be beating with ease, I wasn't at this game as I was tied down with Ivory Coast U23s.
A good 2-0 victory and stats showed I dominated in possession. Pleasing indeed.

The Olympic Games

The Group I have been given was with Australia, Belarus and Mexico. I really should be going through from this group.
Squad && Numbers

1 Stephan Loboué (Golden Arrows), 2 Brice Dja Djédjé (Evian TG FC), 3 Ali Bamba (LEMANS FC), 4 Bakary Sare (CFR Cluj),
5 Isaac Koné (AS Monaco FC), 6 Yaya Touré (Man City), 7 Lacine Cherif (Alfreton), 8 Eric Tié-Bi (AC Ajaccio),
9 Lacina Traore (Kuban), 10 Cyriac Gohi Bi (PSV), 11 Yaya Soumahoro (AA Gent), 12 Kenneth Zohore (Fiorentina),
13 Copa (Lokeren), 14 Abdul Razak (Man City), 15 Raphaël Djé Bi Tah (SønderjyskE), 16 Souhalio Touré (UJA Paris-Alfortville)

Group Stage Results:

Australia U23's 1-5 Ivory Coast U23's

Lacina Traore first half hat-trick had a big part to play in this 5-1 victory. Yaya Toure got a goal in the 2nd half which was followed
by a 90th minute finish from Traore once again.

Ivory Coast U23's 2-0 Belarus U23's

2-0 up at half-time. A Goh-Bi double was enough to put my U23 side through to the Quarter final.

Ivory Coast U23's -02 Mexico U23's

It was all Mexico, there defence was solid and confident. My team struggled at breaking them down, Mexico played possession football
and it worked after scoring 2 goals.

Quarter-Final

Ivory Coast U23'S - Spain U23's

I had to be playing one of the strongest sides? How great. I scored first nice and early, they equalised just before half time. I held
on till the full time whistle, I definitely had the best oppurtunity in the 2nd half, where Lacina Traore had a go which hit the inside
of the post and rolled across the goal, somehow Gohi Bi passed it straight into the keepers hands. Classy.
In Extra time, they scored before the break, before adding quickly in the 2nd half of extra time.

I'm pleased with how the team played in this competition as a whole. Winning 50% of the matches. Shame we were knocked out, but it is
a good job it was to one of the strongest sides in the competition and not some micky mouse nation like... Fiji.

Transfers...

Took it a lot of young players, I think every signing was actually someone coming in on a youth contract on 55 pound a week, most of
is now a been given proffessional contracts. I also managed to hold on to Nikki Bull, my star keeper who will be crucial in my quest for promotion. My best player is young Joe McKee on loan
from promotion. Joe McKee came on loan from Burnley, he looks like he will be key in the midfield. I lost a few players on free's which
is a bummer. Especially Leon Johnson. A rock in defence. I think this might be all I will we doing in the market

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/Transfers.png

Managed to take in 14k for a goal keeper, who is meant to turn into a really good Goalkeeper. With smaller clubs, who have poor youth
facility's I feel that younger players can go if I can bring in cash for them. I released a good few of the younger players too!

Key Players:

Joe McKee:

good read mate, lets see where you take us then :D
Haha, possibly a resign from Wycombe if things continue this way...

Spoiler :O

A Rocky Start....

A bad start to the season is always a kick in the teeth. Demoralises your players which makes it really hard to finally get the points on the board. Thankfully though I have managed to pick the players hopes back up. Altough, in the last few games we have lost... No surprise there. Here is how the first 15 games went:

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/15competitivefixtures.png

Sometimes we got absolutely hammered, Torquay. They completely dominated. I got hammered by Ipswich, though that was expected. The wins we have picked up, have been scraped. We dominate many of our games struggle to score goals. We've only drawn the one game, we were expected to lose heavily to Mansfield as well.

Another signing of mine, the wizard of lower league football. The Lower League Saint. Jamil Adam, A goal every 2nd game is what I see as a good enough striker. He gets in and around the box and has made a massive impact to our teams performance.

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/LowerLeagueSaintJamilAdam.png

I still think the play offs is possible. Early days in the season of course. Pick up form and we'll be heading for 3rd! Well, maybe 7th. I would love to finish 3rd as I hate having to go through the play off's. I'm aiminh for 7th though, and i'll just have to hope I get lucky in them!

The club finances are looking slightly better than they were when I took over aswell..

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/Clubfinances.png
jamil adam has 10 technique? did he got severely injured? or is it the update? O.O
He did strain Knee Ligaments... put him out for 8 weeks while he was at Buckie Thistle in the first season, but it is also the update. ;)

oh,ok then ;)

Getting back in the game..

About 6 months after getting the sack from Wycombe Wanderers, Ross County announced they needed a new mamanger after being relegated from the Scottish first Division. So, I applied for it aswell as the Hamilton job. A team who were about to be promoted into the SPL. Hamilton were considering my interest, and Ross County offered me a contract which I delayed for two weeks because I had a little bit of hope that Hamilton would offer me a contract. I eventually had the dillema, accept or reject(Ross county). I decided to accept it as I would end up waiting another season before getting another job. I came into which was a team of 13 players, obviously many of had been released as the finances were shocken.

*Forgot to take sreenshot* £1,300,000 <<That is the finances anyway.

There was also a lot of interest in a number of my kep players, I rejected all bids. No matter how good they were, like 40k for a player worth 2.5k.. I saw that as an amazing offer, but the player is going to be crucial and I have like no players. I have taken quite a few players in, some on loan and some on free's. Two of the players brought in were two players I had at Wycombe. Goal Scoring Machine, Jamil Adam. On loan. Pacey winger, Daniel Emerton. Free. Here is the transfers made this season. I wasn't the one to release any of them players...

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/Transfers-1.png

A couple of them are -like I did at Wycombe- A few youngsters that are just there to make the squad have a wee bit of depth. Really, I am happy with my squad going into the season, here is the pre-season friendly's and the two first round cup games in the League Cup and Scottish League Challenge Cup!

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/preseasonandearlycupgames.png

Another disaster, another club

3 seasons, 3 clubs, 3 fails, 1 resignation, 2 sacks.

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/RossCountysack.png

Yeah, I have been sacked again. A poor run of form see's me leave Ross County. I felt I could make something work here but again obviously not. The board felt it was time I was to be gone. So, I packed my stuff and was outta there. I personally think that after a disaster in the SD2, my career is over. Obviously, I will continue but if it all goes down toilet again, I might retire! Anyway, here is the league and all my results.

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g357/rcwpicfedding/Results.png

Beating Hamilton 3-2 away in the 2nd round of the league cup was something special I thought! I mean, I was happy beating Livingston who are the division above me but I am very pleased and excited about beating an SPL side when I am two divisions below them. I played them off the park to be honest! I was hoping for a upset against SPL Leaders, Celtic but was defeated 2-0. A very boring game to watch.
