Today Liverpool legend Kenny King Dalglish resigned from Liverpool after the board confirmed that they would not be giving him a contract extension. Liverpool fans were furious and the board were under-pressure to sign a new manager quickly. After hours off deliberating the board decided to sign me on a three year £55 grand a week deal.

After assessing the team I have decided that the future off Liverpool did lie in the future, so I have decided to invest money in youngsters. I have told the board that I believe we can make a push for Champions League for £10m. I am expecting around 4-5th place. Here’s to a good season.
Good Luck... Do My Team Proud ;)
Pre-Season:

Liverpool VS Liverpool Reserves 1-0
AZ VS Liverpool 2-2
St. Mirren VS Liverpool 0-1
Kidderminster VS Liverpool 1-2
Reading VS Liverpool 0-3
Sevilla VS Liverpool 0-3
Ipswich VS Liverpool 1-2
Liverpool VS Juventus 2-2

I am pleased with these results however I would of preferred to get a few more goals but at least I am winning most off them.

The first start got off to a laboured start with neither team wanting to risk conceding first in this fierce rivalry. On the 23rd minute Berbatov hit the bar from an over-head kick and United came to life. They then bombed forward with a growing intensity and Evans then hit bar from a header. On the 43rd minute Rooney scored a scorching effort from 35yards out right into the top corner to send the United fans into raptures. The second half got off to a boring start and the first 15minutes didn’t have a shot on goal, then Liverpool came to life with Carroll going agonizingly close to the left hand post. Then in the 91st minute when all looked lost Liverpool got a controversial penalty after Johnny Evans was deemed to have pushed Bellamy in the air. Kuyt stood up and scored right into the bottom corner to send the Liverpool fans into ecstasy.

After a mid-week Carling Cup match most off the Liverpool players rested well compared to their opponents Stoke who all played during mid-week. Henderson however showed freshness does not always help as he scored after just 3minutes after he controversially “nudged” Begovic to the floor leaving the goal to his mercy and he smashed it home despite the outrage off the home support and players. Skirtel then added another after just 1minutes with a power header from 6yards out. Controversy again surrounded Liverpool as a double footed challenge by Dede catching more off the player than the ball inside the Stoke area, but the ref ignored the tackle and Suarez poked home the ball. Stoke pulled one back on the stroke of half-time with another controversial goal as Peter Crouch used more of his arm than his head to guide the ball into the corner off the net. 17minutes into the second half there was no controversy as Adam scored a screamer from 30yards out. Liverpool dominated the match but the refereeing was poor.

Stoke 1-4 Liverpool

Kuyt got things off to a great start when he scored a well-placed finish from a difficult angle after just 5minutes. Suarez scored just 3minutes later with a vicious volley from the edge off the area. Kuyt then scored again with another well-placed finish from 6yards out to put the Scousers into the driving seat. Bellamy got sent off in the first minutes of the second-half after elbowing Leon Britton in the face. The Scousers held on for the rest of the game to see off the game 3-0.
