I am in 2018 with Academic - Portugal, a small team of the first league. My players are mostly young with good quality. Every seasons, with no exceptions, In January the team keeps on top, but suddenly breaks down and begins to have many difficulties in all games, losing most of them. In late March, back to winning of the end of the season. What is the problem? Training?

I need help ... I'm playing FM for the first time. I played CM in calcium 93, still in discket. Last time I played CM was in 2005... thanks
could be a few things, how much rotation do you use? a bit of rotation helps keep the players fresh and perform fully in every match. jadedness is often the issue for dropping in performance in second half of the season. i think most people will notice a bit of drop if u go really strong in the first half. plus the added tough cup matches. training could be the cause, i have often easily dealt with such problems with good rotation and slight changes in tactics.
I think I make a good rotation, but almost always use the same tactic. I training hard at the beginning (until October) and then moderated until the end of the season. It is so dificult to be champion in a small team? It is necessary apply complicated training programs?? I work, and I don`t have much time to play FM, I like small teams but not impossible champions... understand me??

well training is part of the game obviously, but i myself have found that just having a good individual schedule with medium throughout the season works. i usually rest my players for 1 day after the match(only rest those who have played the match).
i only go harder on training in pre-season. even then its not 100% necessary as you can get players into shape by having quite a few extra friendlies in pre season.
but yh a bit of changes in the tactics will help, as teams will learn how your team plays and try to counter it. so at times making slight changes helps, often just changing a bit of personal and team instructions helps.
but keep in mind changing the style and tactic too much might have a negative affect as your team is not prepared for it. hence you can "prepare" more tactics now which is a good thing, so you can have your team ready for maybe direct style of play with counter attack, then maybe slow tempo tactic etc.
