Overview

Hello and welcome to my Chelsea story. As a supporter of Chelsea Football Club I thought it would be appropriate for me to be the one who turns things around. I want to bring stability to the club and put us back on top once again.

The aim for this season is to challenge for the Barclays Premier League, and at the very least, qualify for the Champions League. There is no doubt that this will be a tough season with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool all challenging. With a transfer budget of £5,000,000 there will have to be some players who leave so we can freshen up an ageing squad.
good luck with this story ..

look to bring in connor clifford from your reserves or youth as he is a promising midfielder. i suggest with signings dont use installments because they get you into debt.

Thanks mate - I totally understand what your saying but, Chelsea do not have the funds to pay £20,000,000 upfront for a player. Even if I sell two or three players it still does not raise enough of a budget for me to go and buy three or four good players without using installments. The squad needs some quality young players and I will not be able to bring many to the club with my transfer budget of £5,000,000.
tbh you dont really need to buy 4-5 quailty signings. i suggest looking at cesar azpilicueata from marseille

Not necessarily quality but three or four older players will be leaving so I need to replace them with good players. Cesar Azpilicueata is solid right back who I like but Marseille want £20,000,000 for him so I will wait until January or next Summer and have another look. I also like Sebastien Corchia. I will be giving Sam Hutchinson a place in the first team squad because I think he can develop into a good right back.
yeah deflinitly try and sign him as he is a top right back. and pretty young too . pleas dont get Cavani , carlos fierro , im pretty sck of seeing them in stories :D .

i recommend corchia as he is a good solid player.

ill be watching this story closely

Tactical Systems

These are the two tactical systems that I will be using. These tactics are set up in the reserve and youth team squads. This will make it easier when bringing through academy players.

Transfer Update

Players In

James Rodriguez - FC Porto - £9,000,000

With the departure of Florent Malouda, James Rodriguez will be a fantastic replacement and back for Juan Manuel Mata. The fee paid was a bargain looking at his potential. A natural attacking player who can play anywhere in midfield.

Eden Hazard - LOSC Lille - £35,000,000

Not much can be said about Eden Hazard that has not already been said. A brilliant player who will no doubt become a superstar. He will be re-trained to play as an attacking right winger, something that has been lacking at Chelsea since the sale of Arjen Robben.

Ross Barkley - Everton - £20,000,000

The next Frank Lampard. It does seem like a large transfer fee but with the same potential as Eden Hazard, I have a feeling that this boy will be a future Chelsea and England legend. So for those reasons, the fee was irrelevant.

Players Out

Jose Bosingwa - Palermo - £3,000,000
Paulo Ferreira - Benfica - £1,000,000
Hilario - FC Porto - £750,000
Florent Malouda - Zenit St.Petersburg - £10,000,000
Salomon Kalou - Napoli - £5,000,000

Pre Season Friendlies

Vitesse 4 - 1
Braga 3 - 1
Benfica 4 - 1
PSG 2 - 0
Lyon 2 - 1

I wanted the squad to have a tough pre season against some very good opponents. Putting the PSG result to one side, I thought the squad were fantastic. We played good football, created lots of chances and had the majority of possession in each game. The tactical systems seem to be working well but it will be some time before they master them. All in all, a very good pre season to get us ready for the long season ahead.

Chelsea 3 - 0 Wigan Athletic

Cech
Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Cole
Mikel
Lampard (75) - Ramires
Hazard - Mata
Torres (75)

Subs Used - Meireles (75) Drogba (75)

Mata (2), Torres

Eden Hazard

A good win to start the campaign. Juan Manuel Mata was on fire today but it was Eden Hazard that was awarded man of the match with a stand out performance and two assists on his debut. Fernando Torres scored the third goal to give us the three points. Juan Manuel Mata picked up a knock in the match and will be out for a week.

Aston Villa 0 - 0 Chelsea

Cech
Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole
Mikel
Lampard - Ramires (17)
Hazard - Rodriguez
Torres (79)

Subs Used - Meireles (17) Drogba (79)

Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa)

A pretty even match with neither team able to break the deadlock. Didier Drogba came on to try and rough them up but did not have much luck. Ramires had to be subbed early on but he will be available for the next match.
