It appears football betting had a rough day as favorites lost to underdogs and also most people were expecting different teams to reach the final, but it's Chelsea versus Bayern Munich. Chelsea eliminated holders Barcelona in the semi-finals, 3–2 on aggregate as Bayern Munich edged Real Madrid 3–1 on penalties after a 3–3 aggregate score.
This is the 57th season of the UEFA Champions League football tournament and the 20th since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup. The match will be played on 19 May at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, home of Bayern Munich, one of the finalists. It will be the first time that a team will play at home during the final.
I suppose very few people from our community will travel to Munich to see that match from the stands of Allianz Arena, but I know a lot of people will gamble online instead. The game alone will definitely be exciting enough, but watching it with a little money on the line will get more intense.
Even if it's just a small amount, the game is even more intense when you know you can win something at the final whistle. A small wager can make a win for your team that much sweeter, and it can have you cheering for another team like it was your favorite.
History favors Bayern as they are playing at home really, but in the end it's just one match and anything can happen. Mourinho has taken Chelsea to their only Champions League final before (2008) but lost in penalties from Manchested United of Cristiano Ronaldo. Bayern have won the tournament 4 times, last one was in 2001 and previous 3 were back in the 80s when the tournament was called European Cup.
