Wigan Athletic have announced that rookie manager Jason Kavanagh will replace out going manager Roberto Martinez as Martinez fell out with the broad regrading transfer fees and transfer budget. Martinez said in a quick interview that how was the club going to achieve with no money to buy players.So Dave whelan has giving a young Irish manager Kavanagh a deal until June 2013 on a 19,750 per week much to the discussed of some fans.

In Jason Kavanagh first press conference he welcomed the challenge of managing such a big club as Wigan Athletic and says that he knows what has to be done also Kavanagh said he may not have a lot of experience but he makes up for in hart and he will keep the club up this season Kavangh has to avoid relegation with the club this year.

Pre Season and Transfers


So new wigan boss Jason kavanagh took charge of his first game in what was a game to forget going up Against Tigers at the DW Stadium losing 5-1 in what was a game were Wigan should of stayed at home.

Wigan's Next game was against Fc Vasluiat the DW Stadium in which Jason men had to come from a goal down to win 3-1 in what was a very poor match in which wigan won 3-1 in the end.

Wigan were on there travels for the next game travailing to Leyton Orient in which was another poor match for Jason Kavanagh and his wigan side this one finished 1-1.

Wigan hosted French club As Monaco at the Dw Stadium in what was a good match to watch were Wigan played As Monaco of the field wining this one 2-0 so a good result for wigan lets hope they can keep it up.

Wigan traveled to Leeds for there next game hoping for a win in what was a poor match in which Wigan won 1-0 but lost defender Ronnie Stam for 8 weeks with a torn hamstring.

In there last home game Wigan were up against Atalanta at the dw stadium in what was a great match if you were a Wigan fan that is Wigan won this on easily 4-0 in what was there best preseason game this year.

In the transfer window Jason brought in three players for wigan in a hope to stay up this year so we will have a look at them.

Jonathan Viera From Las Palmas for a fee of 6 million euros

Dede came in from Vasco for a fee of 6 million but could rise to 13 million

Leandro came in also from a brizalin side Gremio for an estimated 5 million pounds for the young 18 year old striker,

Jason sold two players in the transfer window lets have a look

Shaun Maloney went to Middlesbrough for a fee of 900k

In a shock Move Jaason sold Hugo Rodallega to Nopiol for a fee of 10.5 million in which some fans are upset about you can understand why selling there best striker.

August and September


Ok so in the first two months of the new premier league season Wigan have not done them self's any justice in a really bad start to the season playing six premier league games and getting only 7 points putting them in 17th in the table i no its only the start of the season and Wigan had a tough run in but is this things to come.I caught up with Wigan Boss Jason Kavnagh and asked him What is going on he said its still only the start of the season we will turn things around he said. also Wigan played to cup matches in the Carling up which i will show. so a very bad start for Jason and his men just lets hope Jason knows what he is doing.

Premiership


Wigan Traveled to Spurs for there First game of the season but were no match for spurs as they lost the match 3-0 in what was a good day for Bale who got 3 goals.

Sunderland was the next stop for Wigan traveling to the stadium of light and left with all 3 points after a good 3-0 win Jodi Gomez getting two goals in this match.

Blackburn made the trip to the Dw stadium to play Wigan and left wigan shocked with a 35 yard strike bye Yakubo and left with all 3 points with an 1-0 win.

Next for Wigan was a tough game against Liverpool in which Liverpool played Wigan of there own park with a 4-0 win bad times for Wigan.

Wigan Traveled to Manchester United after coming of an 4-0 against Liverpool 5 days earlier but showed that they were no puss overs by drawing 1-1 with the current champions.

Swansea Traveled to the DW stadium Hoping to walk out with all the points but Wigan played well in the match wining 2-1 with a 90 minute goal by Leandro.

Carling Cup


2nd round of the Carling Cup saw Wigan take on Derby at home in a match in were they won 2-0 good Result for Wigan.

3RD round up Against new premier league boys Qpr in which Qpr won 1-0 so Wigan out all ready Worrying times if your a Wigan fan.

October and November


So as we enter December Wigan are looking a little better in there standings in the league sitting in 13th spot but there is still along way to go there were 7 matches played in the last 2 months in which Wigan took another 7 points Jason Kavanagh as said it will be January when Wigan start to play great football which Wigan always seem to do so lets hope for his sake its true.


Premiership

Wigan Traveled to stoke in this Battle of the bottom and the two teams shared the points as this match ended up in a brow draw 0-0 was the final score.

Wigan hosted Aston Villa at the DW Stadium in what was a good game with goals coming in 81 st min for Aston Villa and 89 for Wigan in were the game finished 1-1 Wigan could have one but hit the post in last kick of the game.

Wolves traveled to Wigan in the late kick of and what was a great game in were wolves were 2-0 up at half time and Wigan brought it back in second half and the match finished 2-2.

Wigan went to Chelsea not meant to get anything from the game but took the lead after 35 min and thought they had all 3 until the 92 min when Torres scored but a good point for Wigan final score 1-1.

Wigan Traveled to Arsenal and Arsenal took the lead after 26 min and doubled it after 67 min to win the game 2-0.

Next game for Wigan was against Everton were they were playing at home but looked like the away team losing this one 2-0 to the toffees.

Wigan went Newcastle hoping for there 1st win in six games and after 85 min they got it Gary Caldwell getting the winner for the team.
