Player Morale

Hi All,

I'm currently playing Liverpool and am in to my third season. Expectation is to challenge for the league title and so far, the team are doing ok. (No losses in 9 games so far this season).

However, we lost our 10th game (away at Man City) and all of a sudden, the morale fo the etire team is at rock bottom and wont seem to budge. I thried a team meeting and it did nothing, so talked to each of the players, all of whom seemed to blame other players.

Not too sure what to do - the team started the season in a blaze of glory but now they really are struggling to score (1-0 v Middlesborough at Anfield ibn the game prior to City!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

From my own experience this is something you just have to power trough and be smart about in your pre and post match talks in the media + team talks before and after a game. Losing to Manchester City, who probably are one of your title contenders is going to be a smack in the face for your players, especially if you have been praising them too much in the media. So my suggestion is to cross your fingers and tell the players you expect a win when you play teams you should be beating.

Every team has a sort of form dip from time to time, sometimes this comes from morale crashing down.

Try using Passionate Team Talks,But the main thing to boost morale is Winning.
Plus if u sign to many players in one transfer window,that affects morale too.

I agree with the previous posts; the same thing just happened to me on my Motherwell save and I dealt with it by giving 100% positive team talks and press conferences. I'm now on a 4-match winning streak, after not having won in 5. Also, if you've got any disruptive players, get rid of them unless they're irreplaceable.

Abeardo sorry for not replying sooner,But i think u should lose some Player's.
Andy Carroll etc and make a Team of 20 player's and play them together all through the season.
They will become friend's and become happier,in my Liverpool game Gaitan Likes Suarez.
