Why does my assistant manager ALWAYS get the credit when ever they announce the manager of the month or manager of the year, and not me? help will be deeply appreciated.

I would like to know why i DON'T get manager of the year or my players don't get into the team of the year when we win the league by a mile and go unbeaten and most of my players have the top stats for scoring, M-o-t-m, passing etc.
My guess is, if you're skipping the majority of your matches then your assistant will be credited for the results since he's practically been in charge. Either that or it's a weird glitch.
