Depending on how these players perform this season will decide whether they receive new contracts.

Pre Season

I do not pay much attention to results in pre season. I always look to see how the squad adapts to the tactical systems. I decided to play a couple of tougher opponents than I normally would and the squad responded really well. The tactics seem to work well and hopefully the team can carry their form into the league campaign.

August 2011

Not a perfect month but we picked up some good points. Good wins against Aston Villa and Sunderland. Wigan Athletic parked the bus at home and we were unable to break them down. Fernando Torres has started the season well which is promising.

A potentially tricky group but if we can pick up maximum points at home then I think we should qualify for the knockout stages.

Transfer Window Closed

No players came in to Chelsea and Hilario was the only player to leave. It might be seen as a bit of a gamble to not sign anyone but I want to keep this group of players together and not unsettle the squad. I might enter the market in January but that depends on the first half of the season.
