Getting edited players into my save

Hi guys.

I just made a few players and I want to send them to Swansea, who I am playing with at the minute, but whenever I open up the save they aren't there. I saved the edited player to Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012/ editor data.
Is it a case of me not being able to use them in my current save and having to start a new one? Because I really don't want to do that and would love to hear a get-around.

Not sure if this is important, but I run it as a network game sometimes too.

Yeah I think when you have a new game you choose the database you want, and your edited one will be there
