Manchester Shitty. (Oops, slight typo?) A team that has won the league 1 time, FA cup 7 times and the Charity shield. Not bad. Although, as I am a 'Red Devil' I could list many more for my club. Nevertheless, City seem a good club to work with on FM12, and I'm going to manage them - just for the bant.

Man City

Media Prediction: 1st

Board Target: Win the League

My Target: Top 2 in League, Last 8 in Europe, Semi Final in Domestics. :O

Transfer Budget: £61,000,000 (YAY!)

Squad Changes 2011/2012

Mario Balotelli
Was placed in the reserves squad, however, I like him, and I reckon he can be a star at City. I also removed him from the loan list, so I'm giving him a chance this him.

Owen Hargreaves
Placed in the reserves squad. I was thinking about releasing him because of injury, but I really like him and he's actually a decent player, just not good enough to start for City each week.

Kolo Toure
Sent to the senior squad, as I feel he could be fairly good for City. He is a risk, and I may send him back to the reserves once I have signed a few players, but he's in the senior squad for now.

David Pizzaro
Placed in the reserves, simply because he is on loan to Roma, so it's easier to have him there, rather than with the hassle of selected squads etc.

Transfers 2011/2012

Ganso
Costing £25.5million from Santos, Ganso became the most expensive player for City in 2012, but with fans excited at the signing, hopefully he will be worth the expensive price tag, even at the age of just 21.

Gregory van Der Wiel
My one of my major signings, costing £16million from Ajax. Bought as I really needed a right back, as Zabaleta is too 'mehh' for me, and I just don't like Richards in the first team.

Jan Vertoghen
My other Ajax signing, this time costing just £10million. I needed a centre back to partner Kompany, and Vertoghen seemed perfect. Also seems to be becoming big in the Premier League, so worth a go.

Neven Subotic
A centre back who will often switch with Jan, who cost £15million from Borussia Dortmund. A risky transfer, but I reckon it will be a success.

Alphonse Areola
Cost just £2.1million from PSG, and seems good for a sub GK, just incase something happens to Hart. Brian Kiddd gives him a 4/12 star potential, so could be a possible future first team member.

Jamal Blackman
Very cheap for only £50thousand from Chelsea, so worth the risk. Will be placed in reserves, so I will try to get him better through the reserves and loans.

Joel Valencia
From Zaragoza, only cost £2.1million from compensation, and seems like he good be a future star. Kidd rates potential 4 star, seems a great buy to me.

Luke Shaw
From Southampton, cost just £1.3million compensation. Is a future top class player, and I know him personally, so seemed a good reason to buy for the price.

Marko Mitrovic
Decent striker, only cost £275thousand from Chelsea, and another player I know personally. Will be placed in the reserves for a bit, and maybe sent out on loan.

Robert Pires, Sol Campbell
Free agents, won't be much use to first team, so will be placed in the reserves and will tutor some of the younger players - after all, they were legends.

Pablo Zabaleta left Manchester to join Arsenal on loan, with a fee of £1.5million. Arsenal have been given to option to later buy Pablo for £4.5million.

Nigel De Jong also joined the North London club, but this time on a permanent basis, this time costing £11.5million.

Pre-Season Results

Stade Rennais FC 3-0 Manchester City
Played my reserve squad to see if any players stood out during the game, but no real players shined for me. I will stick to new transfers for the next few games of pre-season, maybe playing some reserves, but not all at once, to ensure some victories.

Toulouse 0-2 Manchester City
After an early goal by Milner, Silva secured the win with 10 minutes to go before half time. Adam Johnson however, is out for 5-6 weeks, after spraining his ankle falling awkwardly midway through the second half, who will be replaced by Nasri.

Havre AC 0-1 Manchester City
Fielding a much weaker side than previously, with Johnson injured, and Aguero, Tevez and Clichy injured, City took the lead with another early goal by Milner. City played a much more defensive style in the second half, another to win the game.

Manchester City 2-0 OM
With Tevez back in the squad, City took the lead with a 34th minute Carlos penalty, followed by James Milner's third of the season on the stroke of half time, to give the blues another win, in a game where OM received 6 yellow cards. van Der Wiel and Silva are also out for 2-3 weeks.

Werder Bremen 1-0 Manchester City
With 5 off the starting xi missing, it was no surprise that Manchester would lose out away to a strong Werder Bremen. With Aguero having a rather unlucky game, hitting the woodwork 4 times, it was just not meant to be City's night.

Fleetwood 2-6 Manchester City
After a poor first 30 minutes, Aguero hit back with a hat trick and Balotelli grabbed one just before half time, making my team talk much easier with 4 goals under our belts. However, Aguero wasn't done just yet, with another 2 in the 83rd and 88th minute.

Al-Jazira 0-0 Manchester City
With many players still out injured, City have lacked practise with their strongest XI with the Community Shield Final coming up against the Red Devils, but they could hold out a draw against the UAE champions, although the Blues were unlucky with an amazing 82% of possession not to score.

COMMUNITY SHIELD FINAL 2012

Manchester City 3-2 Manchester United

Balotelli 34'
Tevez 42'
Dzeko 76'

Rooney 17'
Berbatov 24'

Balotelli (City) 8.10

After going 2-0 down in 30 minutes, City didn't give up, and in fighting spirit, overcame their rivals even after losing key man Sergio Aguero in the opening minutes of the second half. Balotelli started a comeback, and Tevez just couldn't miss out. To finish in style, Dzeko, the substitute for Aguero, finished the scoring and gave City, and their new manager, their first trophy of the season.

looks good bruh keep updating

Premier League - 13.08.11

Manchester City 2-0 Wolves
Milner, Aguero
Nasri (3 months - Torn Hamstring)

A great start to the season, with Milner continuing his excellent goal run, and Aguero adding to his previous 5 goals. Sad to see Nasri out, especially as he is only a replacement. Good news though, as Johnson is back from injury.

Premier League - 20.08.11

Fulham 3-0 Manchester City

Ganso (3 weeks - Twisted Knee)

Unfortunately, City took a turn for the worst, by losing by 3 late goals, including a Pogrebnayk double. Ganso is also now out for 3 weeks, after just recovering from a previous injury. Could Ganso be too injury prone to be a success at Manchester City?

Injury Update

During training, two players have unfortunately picked up injuries.

Robert Pires is now out for 3 weeks, after picking up a chest injury will lifting weights during a training session.

Owen Hargreaves is out for 8 months, due to a cruciate ligament injury picked up by a hard challenge by a team-mate of the reserve squad. This could mean a release and the end of his career, but I hope it doesn't.
cant beleive you got rid of nigel de jong ?? hes the best defensive midfielder in citys team

Group B is also this year's Group of Death.
#53775 shaneo insaneo : cant beleive you got rid of nigel de jong ?? hes the best defensive midfielder in citys team

I just don't like him, and got a decent amount for him. I'm gradually changing the current style of City's play, and De Jong just wouldn't play a part in it.

They were free and could do with their experience, to tutor reserves and that sort of stuff.
