Dortmund ease past youthful Q.P.R

In Dortmund's first home friendly of the season the had a bit of a walkover against a very young and in-experienced Q.P.R side. Kevin Grobkreutz tucked Kagawa's delightful through ball into the bottom left hand corner with a clinical finish. Grobkreutz added his second just shy of 25 minutes with an easy tap in from Mario Gotze's low cross. Rock solid cb Mats Hummels completed the scoring with a near post header from Gotz'es corner.

Dortmund

Hummels (70)

Die Burrusens miss out on penalties against Schalke

Dortmund definitely showed they need to work on penalty taking as Kevin Grobkreutz was the only Borussian to find the net from 12 yards. Our 1st half performance was poor and we deservedly trailed going into the break. It really looked like we missed injured duo Lucas Barrios and Mats Hummels. However, after having a massive go at my side in the team talk (agressive) seemed to motivate them and we were the better side after the break and deserved to at least get a goal. We did after 88 minutes with Mario Gotze firing Kringe's pull back into the roof of the net. However it wasn't to be as Schalke scored all their penalties to lift the German Super cup at the VELTINS Arena.

Dortmund fly into German Cup second round

A brilliant team performance saw Borussia Dortmund advance to the 2nd round of the German cup after seeing off Rostock. We dominated the early stages but we just could't seem to apply the finish with Kagawa and man of the match missing 1 on 1s with the keeper; however on half an hour we took the lead through Club Captain and Serbian Powerhouse Neven Subotic as he nodded in Moritz Leitner's corner. It was 1-0 all the way through to 77 minutes when Kevin Grobkreutz scored a simple tap in to round off a great counter attack. Grobkreutz doubled his tally to make if 3-0 in stoppage time to tuck in Kagawa's outstanding through ball.

Dortmund

Subotic (30)
Grobkreutz (77,90+3)

Grobkreutz - Booked - (43)

Levekusen 4-3 Dortmund

Well Well Welll, what a game but a diabolical defensive show cost us. Having been 2-0 down to make it 3-2 was amazing thanks to 2 Grobkreutz goals and the funniest own goal I have ever see.; Grobkreutz was bearing down on goal and got tackled, it came to thier keeper and he fumbled it and hoofed it into the roof of his own net.
LOL!!!. However 2 late goals from Kiebling won it for leverkusen. SO FRUSTRATING.

Chris Lowe booked (47)
Neven Subotic booked (12)

SC Frieburg 0-1 Dortmund

At las, our first win and what a performance. I'm sure if we had a recognised striker we would have won by way more. Subotic was outstanding and scored the only goal of the match nodding in Kagawa's free kick. Hopefully the team can string together some results now,

FC Bayern 1-3 Dortmund

A fabulous team performance produces a brilliant result for the team against a Bayern team packed full of stars. Gotze's creativity proved to be lethal as he had a part in all 3 of our goals. Kevin Grobkreutz turns out to be possessing a "Golden Boot" as he bagged a brace to add his tally up to 8 goals so far.

Gritty performance seals draw at the Bernabeu

An outstanding defensive effort ensures a hard fought draw against Real Madrid in our first group game in our champions league campaign. Subotic was a rock at the back and Robert Leandowski (back from injury) gave us a lethal touch in front of goal as he turned our first clear cut chance into a goal with a clinical finish to draw things level on 79 minutes.
