new and probably being stupid

Hi all
although the title say new I have been reading a lot of the stories on here for a while but this is my fist post. Also I didn't know where to post this next question so adding it on to this instead.
how come in a lot of the screen shots of players posted there attributes are displayed in actual digits where as in my game they are displayed in solid state bars that change colour is there a way of changing this in the options or is it a separate mod, as it would great help me judge abilities and attributes easier?

go to preferences and there in the settings you can change how the player stats are shown.

Yep as RedArmy says, you can also mask to see all or just some of the atts as well..
