Being a Manchester United fan it is hard to resist to manage your favorite club. So i decided to try my hand at managing the worlds BIGGEST football club.

My season Objectives are:
1. Win the EPL.
2. Win the Cup Competitions.
3. Reach the final of Champions league.

BEGINNING MY JOURNEY......
Pre-Season Begins....

Selected title challenge and got a tranfer kitty of $27 million & payroll of $1.6 Million.....

Pre-Season fixtures:
Man utd Reserves
hoffenheim(h)
fc bayern(h)
derby(a)
malaga(a)
cercle brugge(a)
Spoting(POR)(a)
valencia(h)
roma(h)
I have chosen basically 2 formations to aid my team....

1. 4-4-2 attack
2. 4-5-1

Set my team instructions to very fluid, attacking or standard, shorter passing, more expressive, man marking & more roaming.

Made a few changes to staff with a few staff additions....
There are way too many Man Utd stories on this site.

I'm being a hypocrite because I'm also managing Man Utd in my FM12 story too :P

Anyway, try using the formation that uses two strikers more because with Wayne Rooney, Chicharito, Michael Owen, Welbeck, Berbatov, I'm sure using a one-striker formation will lead to some of them being unhappy about not starting regularly. For me I off-loaded Owen and Berbatov, and with Chicharito, Rooney and Welbeck, I rotated them regularly to play a 4-2-3-1 that won me the treble. Chicharito bagged 31 goals in 34 appearances. You should try that :P

And may I know if you got rid of Mike Phelan, and if so, who did you get in to replace him?
*31 goals in 34 appearances, in all competitions.

I have actually offloaded berbatov as he fetched me $15 million from PSG.
Yes i hav got rid of phelan and replaced him with vladimir de moraes from palmires and boy is he good... he focus's on goalkeeper and defending and tactics so make sure you get a coach with good attacking and shooting for making up with attacking....
Had a good pre-season:
Results:
1.6-o(h)
2.3-1(h)
3.3-1(h)
4.2-0(a)
5.2-1(a)
6.3-0(a)
7.2-0(a)
8.2-2(h)
9.6-0(h)

Predominantly used the 4-4-2 formation with a poacher and targetman, two attacking wingers, a mall winning mf, advanced playmaker, supporing fb, two cd....
Transfer news:

Berbatov - PSG $15 million out
Anderson - PSG $12 million rejected
sime vrsaljko - $1.6 million in
verratti - $3 million in
Henriksen - $4million in
Negotiating for Cambiasso from inter for $20 million + Macheda
Community Shield:
Man Utd 3 - Man City 0

lineup: de dea, evra, vidic, ferdinand, vrsaljko, valencia, young, carrick, anderson, rooney, hernandez.

Goals : Richards(o.g),hernandez, giggs.

Great game. completely dominated possession.
Vrsaljko is a good buy. Haven't heard of your other transfer ins though.
Verratti and henriksen are one for the future and are almost definite buys for me. Henriksen had a good preseason scoring 3 goals and contributing 4 assists. I have put him under tutoring of giggsy.
Approaching my first league game as manager and it is the big one: at Home to man city

More transfer Updates:
Players in on loan:
Tolga cigergi
Branescu

Players out on loan:
Will Keane -Gillingham
Reece Brown - Colchester
Sam johnstone - Huddersfield
yet another story where someone has bought sime vrsjalko :/ . good sigings with verratt though as he is a top player at such a young age.

i suggest not playing 4-4-2 because you ill come unstuck against the big teams who like to dominate possession

Thanks for the suggestion... ;) . I choose the 4-5-1 Formation against the bigger teams but the problem i'm facing is that i don't have a quality DM... fletcher doesn't like to play in that position.. Negotiating for cambiasso but inter are holding out for $25 Million... :( Any suggestions please...
Two in two as city are humbled by a Valiant Man utd side. :))
A feisty encounter ended in man utd running out as deserved winners at old trafford. Hernandez gave utd the lead followed by anderson and rooney completing the scoreline.

Anderson was named man of the match.
Line up: de gea, fabio, vidic, ferdinand, vrsaljko, valencia, young., fletcher, anderson, rooney, hernandez.
subs: Nani

Injury:Carrick injured for 2 months torn hamstring
