So we have been knocked out of the League Cup in the semifinal by Liverpool with a 2-0 aggregate win over us. Raul Meireles sustained some fractured ribs during this match and will be out of action for about 4-5 weeks. We have splashed out on up to 75million in fees to purchase two offensive midfielders. Eden Hazard will be joining the team with immediate effect after his 50 million transfer from Lille in France & a deal for German midfielder Marko Marin has been agreed for his transfer to take place at the end of the season.

Yes you are right, in some matches i easily lose out on a fair share of possession, here are my team instructions, please help me amend any of these for the better if you think it will work.

I also always start off 4-1-2-3 with the attacking three being two wingers & a target man up front. Now I have Eden Hazard & later Marko Marin, i will have more solid options going forward. What I normally do is if we are dominating the game or else we are losing & not attacking enough i would remove the DM & place another AM/ST and attack a bit more, apart from that the match start settings I hardly touch.

For a team like Chelsea and the amount of creativity you have in midfield . I would play with a slow tempo . So u can pick apart your opponents instead of going flat out trying to score ,

Lorenzo Crisetig twisted his ankle during the Spurs derby and will be out for around 4-5 weeks. Michael Essien injured again on International duty this time and will be out for about 3 weeks. After these two results I have to concede that the title chase is over. Now we will concentrate on our Champions League & FA Cup ties along with aiming for that 3rd spot for Champions League qualification.
