Just wondering what team I should pick for FM 2013 and what formation I should occupy. My fav team is Arsenal however, I want an challenge in an lesser teams e.g A-League

Any replies would be appreciated.
Try a team in USA thats a challenge due to wage cap
Thanks, for the advice mate
If you want a challenge while you're getting your feet wet on a new edition of the game... let the game pick one for you! I've done that a couple of times and had an interesting season or two with a club I never thought of (e.g. Drogheda United), and then went on to a "serious" career with a team where there was some emotional involvement....

Try unemployed with a sunday-league reputation and see what offers you get add blue square n/s league and you will get an offer. Look for the best free transfers and your off, I've tried it a few times but haven't really got anywhere but i'm going to on FM13. Although my brother started unemployed then Barrow offered him a job then a few seasons later he was managing Leeds and now he's 1st with Hereford in the championship :O. A good formation to play is 4-2-3-1 (Works wonders for me). Have a go when FM13 Comes out mate I am. Btw great team Arsenal even though I am an L.F.C. Supporter ;)
Thanks for the advice and support fm12lfc, wish you success in your mission in fm 2013. I probably will start with an lower team. When I played as Arsenal or Real Madrid I can't seem to focus on them and always switch to different teams. If I start with an lower team, I will appreciate the struggle to build the team.
Keep the advice and views coming, the more the better for me to get good ideas.
Thank you Big Z Haha I can't wait till FM13 comes out now! Also a good start on the game is to manage nations all over the world then your reputation will go up and also your knowledge of different countries :).
I Really want to try and start out a team in Asia probably J-League or K-league. Hope to bring them to championships then try and source out a new job. Example, when I was in my second season with Borussia Dortmund. I had a a career transfer request from Barcelona and Liverpool and AC Milan. I swear I was so happy when i was Liverpool because I Really support liverpool. But i wanted to stay with Borussia dortmund for a few more seasons so I didnt accept any of them.
I got views on what leagues to play for an challange but formations shall I consider if I manage Arsenal. Iam thinking of using an assymertical 4-2-3-1.

Any views?
Hi to all...

Well please don't lough out loud now. But it will be the first time that I will ever play the game in my life. I would like to start with lower German league teams. As I think it will be better to know the game, as the higher teams have much more goals etc...

Eduard, no one is going to laugh, so don't you worry about that. We all were rookies sometime back, whether it be 12 years ago or 12 months ago.

My suggestion would be - wait for that guide that tells you how to unlock the German National Team. (SI doesn't have the rights). It is fun to see how many of your lower league players are in contention for the national team.
